Tour de France

Awoke nice and early to go get our hire car and set off on an adventure to chase the tour de france with Mus and Sarah. It was a nice little red VW but we couldnt for the life of us figure out how to put it in reverse! embarrassing
eventually we got to biarritz to get a map after getting lost several times, adn several toll booths later. Once we arried in Pau it was all good and we settled down to watch the race on the big screen and the colourful caravan which threw frew stuff at us all the way. We met a couple of aussies who were really nice and informative about the tour. There was a breakaway and after all teh buildup and 190km of racing its amazing just how fast they fly past you, all you feel is a blast of wind and the camera picks of these blurs of humanity.
a few more riders came through adn then the entire peloton. It was great to be there and be part of this amazing atmosphere. The whole town is converted and cycling mad as it is a great privelidge to host the tour.
Thankfully our return journey on the highway was a lot easier and we didnt have any crashes or misfortune!
