Hey its been awhiel since i last wrote, but this is the tale of my trip to central Europe. It lasted for 10 days and i traveeled for the first with Jami, my friend from university here in spain, and then we were joined by my friend Riley from Prince George. The first night we arrived in Vienna, we were picked up by my friend Alex who was an exhcange student in Prince George when we were in high school. He took us back to his house and we hung out and talked until 2 that morning catching up on old times. The next day Jami and I set out to see Vienna. Seville is quite similar to Granada but a lot flatter, still a maze of little pathway streets in the city centre. So again we get lost trying to find our hostel, even with a map, after dropping our stuff off at the hostel we went to a recommended place for Tapas where we had to queue for 30mins just to get a table! We relaxed there for the afternoon and wandered around, I spent the early evening writing my diary on the rooftop before I convinced Kim to cook me some eggs woman! :D We just chilled out at the hostel and chatted to some other travellers returning from Morrocco which also sounds like an amazing place to visit. this is a long but (i hope) fascinating one... In my Asia blog this summer I made a joke about ‘finding myself’ or returning having changed in my very core, as so many hippy-dippy sorts claim they do. Although my views on Western travel changed, as did many of my ideas about ‘development’ it was only jokingly that I noted how many new (fairly gross) things I had eaten/done. Well, this last Thursday has shown me that although my morals changed for the better in terms of the people of this glorious earth, my views on what animals can be eaten/gruesomely killed for sport have obviously changed even more dramatically. Hola y bienvenidos a mi ´blog´! this blog isnt going to nearly as fascinating and addicitive as my Asia one (ha, as if that one was! hehe) but i just want somewhere to share my thoughts while building a new part to my life in this very foreign place. and ofcourse share the photos. so! what has this new page in my book brought me? well, i´d love to say its all been one sweet, enjoyable path of visiting tapas bars, drinking rioja and meeting young spaniards, but no. ofcourse there has been that but also a lot of stress at the beginning when i was living in a youth hostel for 5days searching the city with Pauline and Sophie (two other erasmus gals, one french, one german) for a flat, or ´piso´ as theyre known ... read more

well time seems to be flying so fast here that i cant even rememeber how long i have been in the country. Anyways the last week has beena hectic one with some school actually going on including a 5 page paper thrown at my class out of no where when one of the profs got sick. Aside from that i had an amazing weekend last weekend. My friends and i went up to my host moms dughters home town in the mounatins for a giant festival.. This included a float a parade and plenty of festivities. The party lasted all day and was a look at spanish culture that we would never have seen otherwise.
