Today’s virtual two was in two parts, the first a cycle ride which I had taken before but it was still enjoyable although for Adam our virtual guide the high temperatures made cycling quite difficult. Tata is not a large town but it has so many interesting things to see - we started the tour in front of a beautiful twin tower church, next was the newly renovated Esterházy Palace where we could still see areas that still needed refurbishment. Quite a contrast between the Habsburg Yellow and the new Hapsburg Porcelain. Tata Castle, built in the mid 14th-century now a museum and we ended the tour overlooking a beautiful lake where we learnt Tens of thousands of wild geese and ducks spend the autumn and the winter on the lake.
