Tag 233 – Reklame-Tour in Flensburg Da ja Samstag und somit für viele deutsche Touristen Abreisetag war, fuhren wir frühzeitig los.Eigentlich war Aufbau erst ab zwölf, aber als wir eine Stunde vorher bei Phänomenta ankamen, ließen sie uns zum Glück schon rein. Und das war echt gut, denn wir brauchten über zwei Stunden zum Aufbauen. Einerseits mussten wir unsere ganzen Sachen (wir hatten unser Equipment noch mehr aufgestockt) aus dem Auto ins Museum und hoch bis in den Raum tragen, wo wir stehen sollten. Dass es ab und zu regnete und außerdem so windig war, dass die Hintertür zu fiel und wir deshalb ums Haus rumgehen und nochmal am Haupteingang klopfen mussten, machte das Ganze nicht einfacher. Arrived on a Saturday morning and upon strolling down to the historic harbor pleasantly discovered that we had, once again, walked into another summer festival! The harbor was lined with sailing ships, steam ships and other historic water craft. Most of the ships are privately owned by individuals or syndicates of enthusiasts who, lovingly, restore and maintain them. Rides were being booked on these crafts and every now and then a blast from a steam ship's horn would cause billowing black smoke to swirl out of its chimney. This would then be followed by other horns and soon a chorus of horns would sound much to the delight of the passing crowds. It has been almost two months now and our travel has STOPPED. Boom! Just like that! Our travels from Nicaragua to Frankfurt took a couple of days which we always knew it would so it was OK. Our transfers were perfect actually. I wish I could say the same about zi German vether! Two days after 5 days of perfect 30 degree summer paradise weather on a secluded beautiful Nicaraguan beach, we arrived in Frankfurt to visit Chris’s sister’s family. It was snowing and about -167°C...well it was actually just -5°C or so but that’s how damn cold it felt for this little Aussie battler who had just spent 3 months wearing just shorts, thongs and a smile!
