We have been having technical difficulties for the past couple of days .. So here is what you have misse Monday Wow .. We are having quite a thunderstorm tonight. We were sitting on the patio, but the wind and rain drove us inside So today we explored the castle we stayed at last night ... We had a good time. We have decided the people that lived back then were related to billy goats. Lots of steep stairs and climbing in those castle walls. And it seems the siege was a very effective type of warfare - and castles everywhere spent most of their waking time either preparing to be sieged or being sieged. Geo: 50.1455, 7.16602 GÜN 40 GÜNLERDEN PAZARTESİ: Harika bir uyku çekip saat 09:00 da kahvaltıya oturmuşuz. Allahı var Görges kahvaltıda hiçbir şeyi esirgemez .Her sabah bizzat erkenden kalkıp kahvaltı malzemesini taze taze satın alıp getirir. Kahvaltıları ile ünlü bir kardeşimiz. Aynı pansiyonda kalan ve birlikte kahvaltı ettiğimiz güngörmüş bir Alman çifti var. Kahvaltıdan sonra beleş diye yedi sülalelerine yetecek kadar ekmek ve kayıntıyı paketlediler .. Bizim aile terbiyemiz buna cevaz vermiyor.. Görges bize hem kızıyor hem şaşırıyor ..Alman olmadığımızı bir türlü anlayamıyor. Tatil köyü, çakalı olmadığımızı,olamadığımızı anlatamıyoruz. Geçen gelişimizde de, sofrada kalanları illa ki almamız konusunda ısrar ediyordu .. Niye almadığımızı anlamakta zorluk çekiyor ..... read more

Geo: 49.911, 7.06647 GÜN 39 GÜNLERDEN PAZAR: 19:30 da toparlandık ve Bernkastel-Kues için yola çıktık .. Moselle nehri kıyısındaki yerleşim yerleri, nedense hep böyle iki isimlidir. Ayıp olmasın diye, nehrin sağındaki ve solundaki yerleşim yerlerinin adları birlikte sayılıyor.. Kues, bizim Brauneberg'e çok yakın…. dolasıyla yemek yediğimiz yer diyebiliriz. Hep aşina yerler ..Biraz dolanıp, kürt kardeşimizin işlettiği bir lokantada, oldukça zengin bir menü aldık. Kürt kardeşimiz gelip, bizimle tanıştı birbirimize saygılar yolladık.. Hava sıcaklığı, Almanların tahammül edeceği dereceyi çoktan aşmış, 33.5 derece.. Biz çok mutluyuz.. Yemekten sonra Şahbaza atlayıp evimize döndük.. Görges ‘in yatağı bizi içine çekiyor .. Welcome to the City of Trier ! WOW ! I must admit that I am not usually short of vocabulary in French and also English after spending the past 20 years living abroad, but the interjection WOW is not the first thing to come to my mind usually, except for the City of Trier... If Metz was only a name on a map to me until I discovered this beautiful town, the City of Trier was even more obscure bringing back distant memories of History & Geography lessons at school et a few references in some of the books I read about the 16th century in recent years. Berlin - Bavaria - Paris - Bastogne - Christmas Markets -- our German vacation was so full of spectacular sites, that I just would not be able to fit it all in one blog!
