Munich
Spielzeus museum Walked the streets of Munich today, though not in the footsteps of more infamous predecessors, seeing some of the sights. Including Marienplatz and the Neues Rathaus. Watched and listened to the glockenspiel play at11am. Wandered around Viktualienmarkt, full of fresh food stalls and a large maypole. Walked passed the Residenz, winter home of the kings of Bavaria. Then onto the famous Hofbrauhaus, and enjoyed the the atmosphere of song and beer drinking. Then hit the shops for some retail therapy along Kaufingerstrasser and Karlsplatz, before heading back to our hotel - the Tivoli, near the Hauptbahnhof. Enjoyed a quiet Italian dinner at Ca Dora, next to the hotel.
