March 2nd I’ve always hated Sundays in Europe because everything is closed and you can’t get anything done. Its even a mission to buy water or tampons. And whatever store you do find open, everything will cost you double than in a regular supermarket. But today, I actually like this Sunday. The Louvre is free, I can sleep in til 11 and not feel as if I’m missing out. McDonalds is open so I can go online later and of course I have to actually study tonight. ... read more

March 1st Today, I walked around aimlessly in Paris and it was a beautiful sunny day. I walked from the Invalids to place de Madeline and the Opera. I absolutely love just walking around without an agenda….. Go into any store, take as many pictures as I want. Absolutely love it. I got home early today, well, earlier than most days around 7 talked to my mom for about an hour, cooked, did my nails and now I’m typing. I love lazy days. And sure I have shit to do for school but I love “me” days where its all about doing shit that I like and just hanging out. Don’t get me wrong I think that people are great and I’m sociable but sometimes it feels good to go home and know that there’s no ... read more

Feb 23rd I was so fucking pisst off this morning because I don’t know if I can afford Greece n Dublin or if I have to choose and of course I’m in a school where people can afford a lot which doesn’t help at all. Now I’m showered, shaved, I’m eating and of course listening to Jack Johnson… he makes me feel so much better I want to move to Hawaii if I can’t do a study abroad then I definitely want to go for spring break. I’ll go to Miami and just save n save cash! And now I really have to save I’m going to buy a baguette 4 lunch if I have to eat that way I’ll only waste a euro for lunch and if I’m really hungry I’ll buy a bottle of ... read more

Feb 19th About the whole lucky thing…. New idea… I do feel lucky for the things that I have no control over. Why some people get into car accidents and others don’t? Don’t know I guess it is luck. Why some people win the lottery? Its been sunny in Paris for the past two weeks and I feel so lucky to see the sun. I truly believe in seasonal depression. I need sun. C’mon I’m from Miami and on top of that I’m always at the beach. I feel extremely blessed to have meet the people in my life especially Anne cause it was so random. “tjrs reconnaissance” So it’s a Monday in Paris I’ still sick as a dog……I’ going to go to the doctor cause I’ve been sick for over a month now and ... read more

Feb 17th Sicko I’m so sick. I have cold sweat and chills. I’ve been sick since I got to France I haven’t stopped being sick and now its worse. I don’t know if its because I took a million hormones or because I have my period or just cause, but I’m ready to have a good nights sleep and to stop feeling nauseous. I know that it could be worse. I might go to the doctor cause nothing is working….I just get better to get worse. Or maybe its because I’ve gone out too much this week. Who knows? New favorite song: Keep bleeding love by Leona Lewis I need to shower, wash my hair and shave. I look like a mess. I really don’t want to do homework today just want to lay in bed. ... read more

Feb 16th Accomplished I feel so good today. I recharged my phone, finally paid rent, sent my parents pictures of me, cooked lunch and now I’m going to do laundry. Shit is back to normal. I’m going to try to do most of my homework this weekend so when Monday comes I’ll just have to go Calculus and type up a two papers. I love Paris on a Saturday, everyone is out and about and everything is still open. Today is a beautiful day. Its sunny but very cold (a little too cold for me but warm for winter) I need to start sightseeing and going to museums. If not its going to be April and I’m going to run around taking pictures of everything. This Friday I want to go to the Louvre at night ... read more

Paris Feb 15th “Be alive when you are alive” that’s one of my favorite quotes because it’s my daily goal. I have times where I’m just living barely drifting but my goal is to be alive and to feel alive every single day. I feel so alive. Whether its sitting at the beach and hearing the waves or sitting at a café in Paris I feel completely alive because I genuinely and wholly want to be there. I love days that you wake up and have no idea what you are going to be doing at night. I love it when life just kicks in. or when you meet someone and they introduce you to something or someone else…. Life is so beautiful with all of its randomness … serendipity Character You have people in this ... read more

Heyyy everybody! Sorry it's taken so long for you to hear from me, but classes have really begun to gear up and we're preparing for midterms and finals already - tons of readings and presentations = little time to be online and fill you all in. Anyways, let me preface this story with the following sentence: Don't worry, I'm perfectly OK and I'm in Barcelona. Now then... the reason I had to write that sentence is so that Gramma won't have a heart attack when she hears this part: last weekend, a group of friends and I all visited Paris for the weekend. We didn't have class on Friday so we left on Thursday around noon, and we were supposed to come back around the same time on Sunday. Everyone else got back to Barca, and ... read more

After checking out of our hotel, we walked through Paris, crossed the Seine River and stopped at Notre Dame for a few pictures. Another early morning, made better by the delicious, warm croissant we had on the way to the metro. I am going to miss those back in Italy, they are just not the same. I loved Notre Dame and was so impressed with all the stone work and detailing on the front. The Gothic architecture (through out the city) is so unique and different from anything we had seen in Rome or Florence. I loved all of it. Since it was Sunday morning, mass was going on inside the chapel, but we were still able to quietly look inside. The stained glass windows were absolutely amazing. In Italy they have frescoes, the French Gothic ... read more
