After checking out of our hotel, we walked through Paris, crossed the Seine River and stopped at Notre Dame for a few pictures. Another early morning, made better by the delicious, warm croissant we had on the way to the metro. I am going to miss those back in Italy, they are just not the same. I loved Notre Dame and was so impressed with all the stone work and detailing on the front. The Gothic architecture (through out the city) is so unique and different from anything we had seen in Rome or Florence. I loved all of it. Since it was Sunday morning, mass was going on inside the chapel, but we were still able to quietly look inside. The stained glass windows were absolutely amazing.
