North By North East Europe » Spain » Andalusia » Seville
I had two days left in Sevilla before moving onto the capital of Spain. Since food is so cheap in the south, I ate like a king. In fact, if one showed up, I think he would have been comfortable. This two week long feasting meant that I had alot of food left over, and so my last two days were filled with experimentating and creating new dishes from lentils, couscous, auburgine, asparagus, tomato and (vegos look away) chorizo. About three frying pans full of my concoctions were consumed by my housemates and (mainly) me in that short period of time. [View Full Entry]

Saturday the 26th of April arrived and brought with it my journey south. After a 25 minute metro trip I had returned to Valencia airport. The land of bountiful vitamin C was soon to be but a memory, and I shall be acquainting myself with Sevilla shortly. Within an hour of touching down in Andalucia I knew that I was in for a good time, however long that would be. How long would I remain in Sevilla? At that stage that was a question with no answer, but things were to work themselves out nicely for me. I met Maren, a [View Full Entry]

I was to fly to Spain on the 22nd of April, departing from Buillund. This all went smoothly enough, but when I arrived 30 min early and had all my luggage, I was amazed. Normally, an early flight is no real cause for amazement, but after hearing the numerous horror stories floating around the aether related to Ryanair, I was suitably impressed. Despite the flight being early, it was still 2230. Not wanting to wait aruond for a bus, I hailed a cab and 12 Euro later I was in Valencia. I met Gemma, my host, dumped my bags at her [View Full Entry]

Back in the days.. Europe » Denmark
Rather than going all the way back to Kolding that night, I decided to spend the night in Copenhagen. I contacted Troels on the day I would arrive, and not suprisingly I was welcome to stay. Some people had told me that Nørrebro was a rough area. Sure, there were alot of immigrants in the neighbourhood, but I had never seen any real evidence of their claims. That is, until tonight. There were a group of goths on the bus to Nørrebro, sitting there chatting harmlessly enough, but then about ten immigrant children (aged 15-18) got on and immideatley picked a [View Full Entry]

The place to 'be seen' in Cph
Ok, so I know it has been ages since I last made an appearance here, but it's like this right; I had three pages written in Word, but over wrote them when I downladed the old one page entry from my email. Ah well, that happens. And now, for what literally some people have been waiting for, number two! After a couple more days of recovering from jet lag in Kolding, it was time to hit the road. The first stop was the end of the driveway, as I had to tie my shoelace. It’s a great place, I recommend a [View Full Entry]

Far far East Europe » Sweden » Skåne » Lund
So Sweden eh? Havign never been there, I had alot of preconceptions about Swedes and their homeland, all of which turned out to be based on pure fact. Thanks to the beautiful Øresund bridge, I was able to hop on a train, and arrive in Lund no more than an hour later. I was to meet up with Lina, whom along with a friend surfed my couch back in 2006. I messaged her to say what time I would arrive, but did not hear anything back so I went for a walk around the town upon arrival. Many shops and cafés [View Full Entry]

And the crypt..

So, i'm going to write a travel blog, too! Where to start? How about right now. Having done the typical Will thing of leaving it to the last minute, I awoke on the 2nd of April thinking "Damn, I gotta do some stuff today!". On the bike I hopped after a minimal breakfast, and headed for the NRMA. There I got an international drivers licence, then quickly went to Alexandria to get a new pair of shoes. Shoes are really all you need for travelling I think. Back home and into the packing, which, with the help of Anna, was finsihed [View Full Entry]
