Hey all, Today i just arrived back from iceland, it was probably the best place i have been to so far on my travels. We flew in late last wednesday night, and checked in to our little guest house, was a really good place, nice and close to the city centre. Iceland is the most expensvie country in all of Europe, and it really hurt the pockets! but was well worth it, juts to give you an idea, a pint of beer was approx £5! Our first day there we woke up early and decided to walk the streets of the city and see what it was like, we set off around 9am, yet did we know that shops dont open in Iceland till 10am! they have a very relaxed way of life! Hey everyone, we just got off our cruise, only had two hours sleep as being the last night of the cruise we where all up partying to the wee hours of the morning! The cruise was the best thing have ever done, met some amazing people. We went snorkling in what had to be the best beach in the world at an island called Virgin Gordo island, got to swim around big boulders in the water hundreds of tropical fish, turtles jellyfish and what ever other creature lives in the sea, got to swim through underwater caves. Another day we took a catermerang out to a ship wreck and did a guided tour snorkling through a ship wreck, another amazing experience, the water is so clear and could see for ages under the sea, and the ... read more
Hey all, Jamaican lifestyle is very relaxing! sitting in the sun all day sipping on cocktails, the tempreture of the water here is hotter than the pool! Couple of days ago went to the Duns river falls, got to climb up the 800feet of waterfalls was awsome, also becuase it was free, we got a dvd made of our trip up the falls, so i will be sending that home for all to see, might even try put it up on youtube. We arrived at our other resort yesterday, awsome place, no little shit head kids here like at the other resort! more people our age which is good. Hey, we got into jamaica last nite, flights where delayed two hours so didnt get in till around 10pm, as soon as we got off the plane, the guy that was taking our bags asked us if we wanted to buy drungs, and in the past 12 hours every local we have seen hastels you to buy some! and doesnt belive us when we say no! the bad news was, our hotel had mantainance in our room so we couldnt stay there, the good news was they transfered us to a new hotel, twice as expensive, and twice the size with its own nightclub! dont have to pay any more, plus paying for us to do a water fall tour, and taxis into the night clubs when we want! so worked out good in the end! ... read more
hey hey, how is everyone doing back home? i hope alot warmer than i am! last two days it is back down to -27 degrees, but corey and myself still managed to go hiking both days! went on a walk to the sulpher hot springs, was awsome, snow every where and then bubbling hot springs coming up from the ground. Today we hiked up a mountain called tunnel mountain 2 hours up, we thought we where stupid half way up when we where buggered, but the view when we got to the top was amazing, we took a bottle of canadian wine up the top to have a glass at the top of the mountian. have posted photos on facebook for you all to see. hey everyone, Any news back home? we have ben going out the last few nights, been getting vodkas for $1 so its very easy to get drunk, yager bombs here are $6 so been having a fair few of them too. Today me corey and liza went ice skating on a frozen over river, was so good, good to be able to do it out in the open with the mountains in the background, weather has been really good, still waiting to see snow fall. Booked our skiing today, monday we are heading up the mountain to give it a shot. once again tonight we are heading out, going to bingo! they have $8 pitchers of beer, which is 2liters of beer! going to be another bender i think tonight! Hi all, Last night Lizas friend came picked liza corey and myself up from the airport, and took the drive to Banff, what an awsome place this is, didnt expect it to be like this, i think they just decided to build a small town in the middle of all these mountains. Weather not to bad today, only a low of -7, a bit different to the -25 i had to put up with the night before! The hostel we are staying in is awsome, great people and free pancakes for breakfast! all for $30 canadian a night, not to bad i think! going to a pub tonight, $3 yager bombs, and for people that dont know the currency difference, its preety much dollar for dollar! its going to be a long stumble home tonight! Heya again, just got to the hostel in Calgary. When i got to Vancouver airport it was 0 degrees and i thought it was cold, then when i got on the plane to calgary, the pilot came over the PA and said it was -12 in Calgary and tommorrow will be -25.... YAY!!! met a really nice native candian, i guess she was like a native american but spoke candian! i dont really now! she asked to see what Australian money was like so i gave her some spare coins i had and then when we where leaving the plane she gave me this Knecklace that has a wood carved turtle on it, said it will bring me good luck! hope so! anyways its 6:30 at night here, and im going for a work down the ... read more
Hello again all, got more time to kill waiting for my next flight to Calgary. FLight wasnt to bad, got a window seat with no one sitting next to me so i could spill out over two seats which was good, still hard to sleep though, i dont think planes are meant for people that are 6 foot! Me and the canadian guy that was next to the empty seat had an argument with a french couple behind us cause our seats were back, flight attend in for the rescue, that happend to be the candians brother so moved the couple behind us away! hey hey, first of my travel blogs, just arrived in NZ, got 3 hours to wait till my next flight so thought id waist some time on here, flight was good, no bumps wat so ever! Best part of the flight was the awsome NZ wine, worst part, the stupid skwaking kid in front of me!
