Basically after we said our goodbyes to Takako and Taeko, we drove up to Lake Louise for some snowboarding, and picked up a couple of Hitch-hikers on the way. Check that out! we drove into Banff yesterday the day before Dan's birthday and there was no snow in the town and hardly any on the ski-hills near there either. Then after we bought ourselves new snowboards for Dan's birthday, went out for a huge night in town and it dumped out over a foot of fresh snow all through the town and even more up the hills so Happy Birthday Dan!!!!! tomorrow we're heading up to try out our new boards and some real Rocky Mountian powder! Vancouver City is fun, Vancouver Island is beautiful, but our van sux! we bought an ugly van thing last Tuesday and it blew up on Thursday - Doh! All good though, after a couple of days waiting around for it to get fixed on Vancouver Island, she's back on the road and running like a dream! So far we've been here for just over a week and are loving Canada. well we have just crossed over into Canada with 6hrs to spare in the year they'd given me to arrive and activate my work visa, and after a fantastic four days of beautiful views and more friendly Americans we can finally sleep in and do nothing for a few days while we come up with a bit of a plan for what we'ew gonna do for the next few months. Wow San Francisco is amazing! and we got to see quite a bit of it because when we arrived at 9 o'clock on Friday night a couple of very tired boys, we took about 50 wrong turns on the crazy highway system they've got going on there and it took us 4hours and few laps of San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland to finally find my friends brother who was too drunk to come and find us... Well picked up Dan Keys from Lax on thursday arvo and and it's been a pretty crazy couple of days since then. First we boosted staight down to a deserted Venice beach to try and check out some freaks but apparently they don't like the cold weather, so after a quick stroll around down town Santa Monica we cruised back to the lovely Susan Mathis's place to get ready for dinner. California is cold in January, but I like it. I came through LAX airport on the 8th without any problems from the American customs, and to be greeted by the lovely Susan Mathis who I met on my Machu Pichu trek a few months ago. She was fantastic, first we went to brunch with a couple of friends, then back to her place so I could check my emails and brush my teeth before she sent me off to San Diego in a train. Well it's a bit late but I haven't really been in computor-mood over the last couple of weeks, more enjoying the 30+degree temperatures, the pool, the food, the company and the parties... I was going to go to Buenos Aires for New Years and wait around there for my flight but after meeting up with all my old friends and getting settled back into their well suited lifestyle it was sort of a no brainer to decide to stick out the rest of my time in South America with the people I love the most on this Continent. Well I made it back to Argentina with no problems apart from a slight overstay in Colombia that I had to deal with in the Bogota Airport at 4am... but it's great to be back! The weather is perfect and the Pilattis pool is nice and clean so between visiting old friends dotted around the place I've been spending plenty of time in and around the pool with the Pillatis which is bliss. Plenty of drinking Mate(tea) and quilmes(beer) and it's also good to be eating some really decent food again(meat, meat and more meat). It feels a bit weird doing [View Full Entry]

I think this is going to be the hardest entry to put together because I've taken over a 1000 photo's since my last diary entry(which if the link to it didn't work when you got the email just hit "previous entry" to check it out).
