Check that out! we drove into Banff yesterday the day before Dan's birthday and there was no snow in the town and hardly any on the ski-hills near there either. Then after we bought ourselves new snowboards for Dan's birthday, went out for a huge night in town and it dumped out over a foot of fresh snow all through the town and even more up the hills so Happy Birthday Dan!!!!! tomorrow we're heading up to try out our new boards and some real Rocky Mountian powder!
The roadtrip was cool, no breakdowns and we got to ride Big White which is the second biggest Ski-hill in Canada so that was awesome. Caught up with my Auzzie mate Gavin there too so had a big night with him at Sam's Bar on Tuesday night. Then it was up to Golden where all 4 of us slept in Pos-c(piece-of-s#@t car) before getting up and boosting over to Banff. The girls are doing their own things from here, Taeko's got chef's job in a sushi bar in Banff and Takako is heading up north in search for some Northern lights. As for me and Dan we're loving the look of Banff at the moment, plus it's got 3big ski-hills within an hour of the town centre so we're probably going to try a couple of those out over the next week and look around for jobs and a house here. Wish us luck - out.

I'm russ, I'm from New Zealand and have developed a love for travelling over the last couple of years. It was the best descision of my life for sure, breaking the routine and heading off to explore the globe, and I would highly recommend getting out there and having a close up look and anything that you've read about or heard about that intrests you, because if it looks cool on TV, I can garuntee you that it'll be even cooler when you are there amoungst it. And if you're stuggling for ideas about where to start, I'd highly recommend buying a oneway ticket to South America and the rest will ta... full info

this place is amazing! it's got like a whole little village right up at the base of all the lifts with a couple of shops and bars and everything else you'd need - although pretty expensive.

we were so amped up today, Dan's first ride for about 4months and the last time I went was about 7months ago in Argentina. Felt pretty mean leaving the chicks at the top of the first lift playing with their bindings, but got over that after the first 20min run

Was cool hanging out with you girls for the last couple weeks, and sorry that it took us two weeks to get you here instead of the 4days promised. Can't wait to try out your Sushi and Saki when we come to visit you Taeko - see you soon
