Today we got up rather early, like 5:00 a.m. ... which was a little too early for a holiday. But with the traditional 'must-do' in Luangprabang, we'd really like to experience it: giving sticky rice to monks as merit making. At six-ish we finally started off from the hotel. Once we landed, I recognized so many innocent and sincere things.... starting with Lao language which is somewhat similar to Thai language but there are certain differences, both in terms of alphabets and the forms of vowels. Lao language is cute, I would say!!! It's difficult to describe in English, but for Thai people who read this I think you will understand. There were 2 Immigration lines, and the one for Thai people was very short... just 10 people or so.... As part of the company's annual outing, this year somebody decided we would go to Luangprabang. I have a feeling that I was one of perhaps the few among us that mentioned about this town, but at that time I didn't think of going with a big group --- I was thinking about going with P'Toy. I heard of Luangprabang as a UNESCO World Heritage..... and its peaceful atmosphere. So, now I could see it for myself.
