Nice to see you! Linda was just about ready to tell me something clever to write but she heard the figure skating starting and went to watch. She's back! It was only the Americans. "It's nice to see pictures of your winter escapades," she exclaimed, "and Beada, of course."
Maine-Minnesota connection Hey Emma
Really enjoyed your post. I'm reading a doctoral dissertation on the history of the Minnesota River. It talks about how big-money people directed the transformation of the MN Basin into a place to produce commodities. Lumber barons were a big part of that, converting into lumber and cash the trees of the Big Woods that had been so carefully managed by the Dakota and previous residents of the eastern part of the basin. And the grain barons converted native prairie (again carefully cultivated by the natives) into wheat.
S'Wonderful! I just knew that you would get that old car in here somewhere...great job on all of it.
Thank you thank you for taking the time to do this. It has meant so much to us to be able to see what your life has been like. You have been a terrific tour guide!!
architectural delights Emma, I've always wanted to see the architecture in Barcelona.. it looks wonderful. It is fun to read your creative narratives...I can almost hear you describe your experiences.
