A Day in the Life of Tiffany in Palma

So, my dad has updated the last few blogs, but I decided you might wanna see what I've been doing too! Pretty much the past two days in Palma, for me, have consisted of- -Breakfast -TV -Laying out in the sun -Swimming -Computer -Roaming the resort -More food -RELAXING! Pretty much, living the good life :)) But I am SOOOO ready to come home! On Sunday we left Benicarlo Spain for Palma Spain on the Balearic Island of Majorca. We just spent our last 2 days relaxing at the Marriott Golf Resort (no I didn't get a chance to golf) and we start our journey back to US tomorrow. This is a great resort and we spent most of our time at the pool or health club. This evening we eat a barbeque with a live band. Great last evening... We will be stopping in New York tomorrow for a couple of nights to visit Tiffany's college, "New York Conservatory of the Dramatic Arts"... Mark K... read more

Spent the day in Barcelona riding the double decker tour bus throughout the city. We took the train from Benicarlo to Barcelona and then returned in the evening. We first visited a outdoor Greek theatre and then spent some time at the water front. Finally we had some pizza before heading back to the train station for our ride back to Benicarlo. Finally after a week and a half in Southern Europe, I met someone that spoke fluent English. I met Diana today, a sweet young lady from Bucharest Romania that works at the local restaurant that I visited. She speaks excellent English and I was able to have conversations with her without any (or very little) language barrier. As most folks know, I love to talk and it's been hard not being able to meet and talk with new people since I've been on this trip. It was very refreshing to finally be able to meet someone I could talk with. Also the food and atmosphere was great... Otherwise the rest of the day, Tiffany and I spend relaxing around the resort. TAPAS (what are they) ... In case you were wondering, a couple pictures of Tapas that we have had this week. I believe Tapas are suppose to be light eating or as we know them, appetizers. Both of these were shrimp. As you can tell, they don't always cut off the head. ... read more

Sorry, I'm running a little behind on updating! Let me just recap the last few days! Sunday, we flew to Madrid and spent the night there in a Hostal and roamed around the city to see what there was, stayed out late since Madrid is know for its night life then had to wake up early to catch our train! Monday, we took a train all the way to Benicarlo and then a taxi to the resort we're staying at in Peniscola. Got here and I slept most the afternoon while dad scoped the place out. Today, it was pretty gloomy out and both me and dad didn't feel like doing much, so our day mostly consisted of staying around the resort, for me mostly in the room. After a short nights sleep in Madrid, Tiffany and I caught a train to Benicarlo. The first train was a high speed train from Madrid to Valencia followed by a regular train from Valencia to Benicarlo. The total travel time was about 5 hours leaving at 9:20am and arriving at 2:30pm. The high speed train, we had an entire train car to ourselves but that wasn't the case on the normal train as it was completely full. Mark K... read more

Sorry this is a little late! But yesterday we did just a few things! 1) Got to see the inside of the Colosseum!! 2) Walked around Rome 3) Found a little outdoor shopping center 4) Ate lunch on the outside of the restaurant and people watched 5) Saw the Pantheon! 6) Moved to a different Marriot because I wanted to go swimming (so worth it!) On Friday, Tiffany and I had the privilege to go on a tour of the Nacropolis of the Vatican. This included seeing burial sites of 1st and 2nd century Christians as well as Peter's original burial site. This site is under the pope's personal alter and although we couldn't take pictures of the Necropolis, I was able to sneak in a picture of the Pope's alter that is above Peter's burial site.
