On friday, I flew back to Broome. If you're finding it hard keeping up with this to and frowing, you're not the only one and it all got a bit complicated! I wanted to make my way from Darwin to Broome independently catching lifts but this proved difficult as everyone heading that way was going through the Kimberely and I didnt want to do that again, and flying to Broome wasnt all that expensive. I'd advertised that I wanted a lift from Broome to Perth and got a call the day I was getting to Broome from a french man called Gille who had a space in his camper. After all the confusion, things finally came together. Gille picked me up from the airport and we stayed the night in Broome with his friends before heading ... read more

Hi all!! Well the slow life of Pemberton seems a million miles away. Its been a bit non stop since! I had a fab week in Perth with guys from Cairns; Kat, Jay, Mitch and Allan. Not a lot was done except we might of had a few alcoholic beverages... Oh, we did hire a car and visit the Pinnacles! Its a rock formation few hours drive from Perth in the desert. Perth seems like a nice place. Not a huge citiy but with plenty to keep you enterained, simialr to Cairns but bigger. Fremantle is a really nice suburb, lovely vibe and beach. After Perth I flew straight to Broome where i spent a few nights, mostly chilling of Cable Beach which was gorgeous as there's not much to do in Broome. Then I started ... read more

Hey gang. As you've all been rubbing it in that we've swopped seasons and you're getting a good deal for a change, I feel I should tell you spring has sprung! Weather is slowly improving, rolling hills are looking amazing right now and its almost time to turn off my electric blanket! I have been working hard over here doing lots of hours and have settled in well. Locals are actually pretty cool and I've had a few drunken eves at various farms. If anyone needs ANY fresh produce, im your woman! Ha ha. Now what have I been up to... Had a lovely day out with a local bar propper Turk. We went in his boat down the Donnelly river, which took us all the way to the ocean so we parked on the beach ... read more

Hey gang! Just a quickie to get you up to speed. After a sad goodbye to Madonna, I headed to Geelong - where I started this whole thing - and caught up with Kate and Lou, friends of Tiss'. We had a good weekend, out for drinks and relaxing on the sofa. On Monday I visited the old haunts in Torquay. On Tuesday I visited the Trosky's (Tiss' family). And then on Wednesday I flew to Perth... And stayed for a day! I had planned to find care work but needed to do get a job while that was getting sorted but there was nothing at all, not even working for accomodation. Unfortunately, i've got to watch the pennies these days so I ended up getting a bar job outside of Perth through an agency. When ... read more

Hey!! Well thats me done in NZ and its been a mad few weeks, lots going on. After catching the ferry we had a night free camping and then chilled in Wellington. BIRTHDAY SEASON!! First skype i've ever done and had the pleasure of the Mead dinner table for D's birthday. LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!! X X Headed to Taupo on the sunday, another driving day. On Monday we attempted to skydive but the weather wasnt good so we rescheduled for the morning. We ended up going to Rotarua instead. On the way we stopped to see Huka Falls - a nice spot, some of the natural thermal springs (smelly sulphur!) and we also got to sample some honeys and meads at a honey farm shop. Very random, but you know we never miss an ... read more

SO... After our leap of faith on the Nevis Arc Swing in Queenstown, and a large Fergburger (Famous burger in NZ and totally delicious), we headed to Milford Sound, further down the west coast. We stopped nearby and free camped at Gunn Camp. Had a quick mooch around Milford but didnt journey out on the boats to view the fiords. Scenery all through Milford has continued to be amazing and changes with every corner from snow capped mountains to rolling hills, oceans and bays to steep gorges where you see mountains at every angle. Sorry to go on, but seriously, me and Don are continually impressed by it. We drove to Invacargill on the south coast via the south scenic highway, stopping off to stretch our legs at waterfalls and scenic lookouts. After a night in ... read more

hey all!! so, have been in NZ with Madonna for over 2 weeks now and having a fab time!! Will give you just a quick run down of what we've been up to. Both got to Auckland on the same day (very excited meeting at arrivals!) and had a night out in the city. Were joined by Alex and Jordan of Que Pasa fame and had a great time. Picked up our camper the following day and went to see a volcanic beach nearby, kinda cool - very windy! Pitched up at the night after a very unsuccessful hunt for a campsite and supermarket we never found! But we still had a giggle. Decided it would be a good idea to leave Auckland as driving around it was making us insane. Got as far as Raglan ... read more

HEY!!! sorry for the delay... i'll get this oz stuff over with before i get round to the new zealand bit! I had a BRILLIANT few weeks in the northern territory. Ok, so flew to Dawin and then after mooching around (really not much to do in Darwin!), I left on my tour first thing fri morning on 29th. And by first thing I mean I left at 5.30am! KAKADU AND LITCHFIELD 1500km Met the tour guide, Eyvonne and joined the people on the bus. Everyone seemed really nice, there was 16 of us in total and a mixed bunch which worked well. First stop was an aboriginal centre and we got properly welcomed to their land in a traditional way by them drinking water and spitting it on our heads. Nice. One guy then took ... read more

HEY ENGLAND!!! I thought it was high time I did a wee blog of what i've been up to in Cairns. I know to some of you im repeating myself so please bare with me... I've spent the last few months working at PJ O'Briens, an Irish pub in the city centre. I have had a great time working there, its been a lot of fun. Very basic bartending, no cocktails, and have finally got to grips with all the different drink orders. I've heard a 1/2 pint being callled a pot, a midi and a half, and a pint doesnt really exist!! They usually serve beers a little smaller and they call it a scooner so everytime I have to ask if a pints ok and they give me a look of disgust that we ... read more
