Waking up about 4-5 hours after putting my head down I was up. This time I wasn't going to miss the complimentry breakfast off Toast and Marmalade! By 9.30am I had packed my bags, checked out and had made myself down to Cork Bus Station as I would be taking a bus to a place called Killarney. FRIDAY 10 / 3 / - Blarney Due to my exhaustion off waking up early and getting to sleep late with a bit off CIDER in the belly the previous day it was a horrible 10.30am wake up for me... missing the complimentry breakfast and being the only person left in the bedroom sleeping! Beep...Beep...BEEP 4am and my phone alarm is buzzing away like its cool to be waking up at 4am on a Thursday morning. Not only is it early, but its freezing. When I open the curtains the windows are covered in frost and its still pitch black outside. A burst of excitement rushes through me as I know I'm up this early for a reason... I'm off to IRELAND! Yesterday I did what every great man needs to do in his lifetime... watch Blackburn Rovers play a game of football. People compare such an event to the Wall of Berlin being thrown over or even the birth of Jesus. Blackburn Rovers; Modern Day Gladiators. Yesterday I did the trek all the way upto London again, this time for a Camp Counsillor Job Fair. What would my fate be? Would I walk away with my summer planned. Arriving at 11am awaiting in the foyer I was keen to meet all these yanks who would decided wether or not I'd be suitable for there camp. Ye Olde London Town. Being so used to, and understanding off the Perth public transport system, I was expecting the british public transport system to be the same. It is.. except everything is bigger and more complicated. For instance there isn't just 1 train going from A to B. There are 10 trains going from A-S and D-J. Arriving at the Watford Junction, I felt like I was at the Perth Regional Departure lounge. The place was big with vending machines and all lining the outskirts. For the past few days I have been printing of a ton of resumes, job searching and scouting about for some sort of job. I have found that I may be able to claim benefits from the government... a quick 50 pounds a week isn't to bad in my eyes! Last night I galantly went to the theatre to watch a show. For the past 3 or so days I have been in rugged Welsh countryside. We drove up and stayed in a small cottage, backing onto many farms. The cottage itself was centuries old; with still the original wallpaper stuck to the wall! Wales itself is beatiful. The landscape is so mountanous with typical sheep roaming the lands. We even went past Lamas!! For the 3 days we mainly sat infront of the fire and explored the place, not much else to do in a place that seems to be stuck in an era best remembered years ago. Boarding the British Airways flight from Jo'Burg to London I was full of excitement. I have completed the first small quarter of my journey. I had seen the different aspects of Africa; from the rich to the poor I had seen and done a lot and there is still a lot I would like to return to do; but for now its onwards to the UK.
