OK so last nights sleep was both rejuvenating and as fulfilling as seeing a 3 eyed kangaroo with no ears trying to wear sunglasses. I was awoken every 2 hours by the fan choking out and weird noises coming from the room next to me. By 6am I gave up and decided it was time to head out. Excitement had grown on me and with what sleep I had gotten all my old adventurous feelings came running back to me like a fly to poo. With yesterdays wham of an arrival out the way It was time to go see what the fuss is all about with this country. I learn I'm staying on an alley just off from Karol Bagh. Which after further investigation is actually not a bad thing. Although the area is not ... read more

Sitting in Washington 4 days ago I was thinking what it would take to topple the past 4 months. I was expecting so little out of going and working at a summer camp in the US and what came out of it was nothing short of amazing. Meeting the most awesome people who welcomed me into there homes and took me out whenever possible. Touring New York, Philadelphia and Washington and learning that there is more to American food than McDonalds. Like deep fried Buffalo Wings and Phillie Steaks. But... with everyone leaving and going back to collage and or back to the UK I didn't want to just dwindle around the US until my money ran out. I've always wanted to go test myself in India. And so I booked my flight to New Delhi ... read more

After settling down for a good nights sleep last night, fresh bread rolls in 1 hand and a carton of the famous Apple Juice in the other, in walk 2 Sydney girls, backpacks on there back and they remind me of a certain somebody from the movie Legally Blounde. I straight away knew that my desired night of rest before venturing to Austria the next morning would not entail as expected, yep, 35minutes later I was being dragged of my bed by the legs and we where on our way to a party spot I hadn't heard of, The Island. Budapest is seperated by a body of water with the famous bridges linking both sides up. In the middle how ever there is a small island, and this island turns into a huge party by night. ... read more

Who would have thought that Budapest has the largest population of mosquitos that I have encountered thus far on my travels. For the first half on the 'Pest' side there have been no sign of them. I come over hear and they think I'm a walking cheeseburger with extra ketchup... I'm here for the taking come get me! People walk upto me on the street and ask if im suffering badly from acne, I politely tell them to 'take a hike' and let them know that the mosquitos here are man eaters and they should watch out... they will be next mwahaha. The past few days have been very laid back. Haven't got upto too much at night and during the day doing very lighty touristy stuff. I'm starting to feel a longing hunger. I haven't ... read more

Yup so I was down and out, my shoes had been stolen and my last nickle spent in a run down casino betting on a 1 legged horse to win the grand national, then into the room came my saviour... a man offering a free bed, warm shower and a hearty meal. 24 hours later and after a lot of rum I woke up to the sound of seagulls and around me drunk sailors yelling Land Ahoi! End of Chapter 1 -------- Well, my left bum cheek is officially angry at me. The burner that keeps the water hot in the shower at the run down hostel has gotten the better of me thus I sit hear smelling like a bum who has not showered in days. I have given up on taking a decent 'shower' ... read more

Sorry I just couldn't resist such an awesome title for this entry. After a not so exciting few days in Slovakia I decided that it was time to move on forward and so the movement began... the movement to Budapest. The plan was to goto Budapest and meet up with some Canadian girls who I met in Prague. Then an Australian dood wanted someone to goto Budapest with so i agreed that us australians should stick together, then on the way we bump into a couple of Swedes who are also going into Budapest and then finally at the train station we bump into an American who is also heading over. After a lack-lustre pizza we headed on board ye olde train bound for Budapest. Budapest is very famous for its open bathes, religion and beatiful ... read more

4 days since my left entry in Ceskie Krumlov... time just floats by in that place. So much quietness and tranquility... it got boring pretty quickly though. Apart from the nights which where filled with Absynth fun with a few Canadian girls and another crazy evening with some Chinese 30yr old ladies during the day there wasn't much to do apart from hike, explore the town castle for the 50th time or mix with the locals (bums begging everytime you cross a bridge). So on forwards I went planning to follow the Canadian girls to Budapest. A better option though was to getta train to Bratislava for a few days then carry onwards to Budapest. Not only does it work out cheaper BUUUT I get to city another city, another country. Bratislava for those who do ... read more

One Phrase. I'm in a life like Fairytale Town. I caught a 4 hour bus from Prague; the cultural hub of Czech Republic to a small town near the Austria border known as Cesky Krumlov. The only reason I headed down this way is because the rather good looking girl who was working at the hostel in Prague said she said it was the most beatiful place in the world and she has a friend who works in a hostel down here and will 'hook me up for a good time'. Anyways after arriving here at about 7pm I walk into the town centre and my first impressions are wow. This place is like made out of gingerbread. Well not really but imagine the how the gingerbread house in the fairytale looks. Well this whole town ... read more

Guten Tag!! The last few days since arriving in Prague have been awesome. Prague is such a beatiful city. It has a fairytale feel to it and walking along its streets just makes you all fuzzy inside. So many churches, religion is a big part of the culture here... another big thing here is a wee thing called scamming. Yeh I've been done for the first time on my trip. Then I got done again. The train ride over was awesometude as I covered in last blog! Anyways when I got off the train I should have recieved 2 grand change for a bread roll and only recieved 1 but didnt know till i got home. Not to bad as it translates to about $100 haha. The other time I lost another grand unknowingly and still ... read more

This train trip was hilarious. Mr Canada was telling me tips on how to A) get the best cabin and B) get a second class cabin to myself. The solution... Make the cabin as messy.. as slobby and as horrible as possible so that when other passengers come to sit in your cabin at the beggining of the trip they get deterred by the prospect of sitting with crazy backpackers. For us this meant taking all the dirty washing out and hanging it on the windows and on the seats. Taking our shirts off and hanging them on the door and having food and drink scattered everywhere. The expression of shock on peoples faces when they went to enter the cabin then saw who they would be seated with was priceles. Was the funniest thing to ... read more
