well yesterday was a tad hazy i have to admit, jet lag plus the remnants of a sleeping tablet from plane made it all a bit woozy !!!! but managed to go and see the famous light show at the harbour. It does what it says on the tin, lots of HUGE hotels all with lazer lights shining into the sky in time with music. Very impresive. Then today i overslept due to a combination of knackerdness and great ear plugs !!! anyway missed breakfast and went on to ride the Star ferry accross to Hong Kong Island ( i'm staying in Kowloon, which is a bay away) I then went on a hillside tram that is at 45 degrees its soooo steeep. so today is time to return to reality ............ all good things come to an end i suppose :( i've travelled hundreds of miles .................i'll work it out properly at a later date i've stayed at 9 different places forms of transport used : plane, train, bus, river boat, long tail boat, canal taxi, catamaran, skytrain, car, motored tuk-tuk, bicycle tuk-tuk, and last but not least feet !!!! i've met lots of lovely people from all over the world, and hopefully keep in touch with some of them :) i've had THE most amazing 28 days, and hope to continue with this backpacking travelling as ive deffinatly been bitten by the bug !!! thanks to all of you that have logged on and read my blogs and a big thank you for all your lovely comments ... read more

so we arrived on Ko Tao after a very pleasant 90 minute, catamaran trip, met some ozzie guy Jeremy who was really funny :) he said that the main resort of Saree is agreat place to stay so we arrived here in Saree ............ and its very buzy, infact extreeeeeemyy buzy, considering weve never been anywhere where there there are more than 75 tourists in the whole resort !! (by the way ive just ahda vodka and red bull so plese excuse any typing mistakes !!!!) so we booked into a nice bungalow ... hot water shower !!! and guess what ??? i keep it on cold !!! i dont like it hot anymore !!!! last evening we wandered around, and found the bar Jeremy had recommended - Lotus bar on the beach, you sit on ... read more

ok so the half moon party ................ basicly its a rave about 2000 people ........ AMAZING, i had a BALL !!!! we went with a load of people from our place. two of the girls were brits, 23 years old and fantastic fun, they were great, first of all i got a design painted on my arm with flurecent paint, so felt and looked the part ..... and then i danced and danced and danced all night ...... with occasional breaks to drink from a sandcastle bucket full of vodka, red bull, and OJ .... whoo hooo !!!!!!!!!! there were firedancers who were doing theyre thing. oh my god like i say - today i found paradise !!!! we went on a boat safari - there were 12 of us - brits, german, and Ozzies - all a good bunch first stop an elephant ride - Ange was so excited i thought she might pee her pants !!! we fed them bananas then off we went riding on our little seat ......... we really enjoyed it - but our mahoot was the most miserable Thai ever :( but our elephant was gorgious then we saw a monkey climb up a coconut tree and drop the ripe ones to the ground - watch your heads please !!!!!
