We got to the airport in plenty of time, we thought it would be a great idea if we could go in to the arrivals lounge and see our guests plane land then do the” ta da” thing when they walk through the gate, just like they do in the movies. Of course we had to go through security and have our bags searched, but as we don’t have anything to hide neither of us have a problem with it, so we submit what we have, walk through the scanners, Caroline’s handbag is also subjected to the chemical swab before going any further. With the all clear our first stop is for coffee, well it was for me as Caroline was on a mission to purchase a new pair of sunglasses as she had lost her ... read more

Hi All, I appreciate this doesn’t have anything to do with travel, but still it is to do with Kangaroojack our adventures and our love of curry. We eluded that we have found an awesome Indian restaurant in Fremantle called the Copper Chimney and we went for dinner there last night, well I felt we had earned it after a hectic week for both us and also the fact that my ever spiteful wife had made me, yes I said made me go out and run Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday night. We booked a table for 7.30 as its Friday night, we are exhausted and would be early to bed, so the order of the day was simple , get up, go to work come home, go for a run, dinner then bed. The restaurant ... read more

With the Christmas season upon us Caroline was attending her companies Christmas Party was on Friday 4th December at The Bathers Beach house in Fremantle, I had got home from work on Friday night and no sooner than I had opened the door and stepped out of my cloths I had been in all day the phone rang, it was Caroline, could I go and collect her. The plan was that she had a “cab charge card” so basically it’s a card that allows you to pay for the taxi that is pre-supplied by your company, it just alleviates cash we used them a lot when we used to work in Canberra and they are an excellent idea, but they are not that flash when the taxi’s just won’t turn up due to it been a ... read more

Well it was that time again, Friday 20th November and we were heading out of town for a weekend away. It was the Toyota Landcruiser club’s end of year wind up and trophy night and we were looking forwards to it, This is a big night in our yearly calendar and its always a good weekend and 80 of us would be descending on a small town just 45 K’s east of York called Beverly which is in the wheat belt. Beverley is a quiet, historic wheatbelt town located on the banks of the Avon River. It is a typical wheatbelt town with an attractive main street, a couple of museums and a sense of peacefulness of a Western Australian country town, it is located 130 km east of Perth and was established in 1838 by ... read more

Today we had a working Bee at the Black Cockatoo Society at Kaarakin, as 28 clubs who are in the Western Australian 4 wheel drive association use their facilities free of charge the only reparation we have to do is a couple of working bee’s throughout the year, so everyone is happy. The weather is ramping up Friday was a pretty warm 33 degree’s and Saturday was forecast to be a whopping 38 degree’s, not bad for Spring. We were late to bed last night, as you have read in our last blog with Floretta’s 60th Birthday, we fell into bed at 11.45 absolutely knackered and we had promised ourselves we would be up at 6.00am to go and have a run, in the cool of the morning. When we were driving home last night the ... read more

i t was Friday the 13th November and it had been a busy week and this evening we had been invited to go to one of our friends 60th Birthday. Kim and Floretta Parker are friends from our 4 wheel drive club and they live up in the Perth Hills, you may remember a blog back in December 2013 well on the 16/12/2013 to be exact where someone we know had a coach, that they had converted and had toured around Australia in for 8 years, well this is them, the blog title was called Montecarlo on Bus(T) When you look at Floretta there is no way you would have her down for 60 years old, may be very late forties or early 50’s but no way 60. Well it’s a fact today the Thirteenth of ... read more

We had nothing to prove to anyone except we knew we needed an adventure and Australia was where we were going to get one, ... read more
