Paris What a wonderful tiome you are having. It is raining here tonight as well. There have thunderstorms around since about 3pm and it is now 8.30 and the rain is still going!!!!. No news of a baby yet. Justine was due yesterday but think she is still a little high for imminent delivery, however time will tell. There msut be a major emergency down CHB somewhere tonight. There has been a constant flow of speeding police cars hooning past here tonight. Would you believe at least 8. No doubt ther will be somthing on the local news in the morning. Is hard to believe that there is only another 6 days of holiday to go. At least the garden is tidy and it has been a relaxing time.Kendall is walking the Heaphy track so he is not home unitl Friday 5 pm. Hope this finds you both fit and well. Take care Deirdre
Paris Hi Joy and Bruce We have been away to Whangarei over the last week as my mother died in her sleep last Monday.
Lovely to get back and catch up with all your exciting news.
We too enjoyed Paris. When we visited the Sacre Coeur all the surrounding area outside was filled with artists painting - some lovely work was being done.
I hope you enjoy your cruise on the Thames as much as we did. We went to Greenwich for the day - sunny and super commentry on the trip there and back.
Cheers

Holiday Hello again Bruce and Joy, You certainly are packing heaps into your well deserved holiday. Is hard to believe that we have almost had a week of ours. Justine is still holding on.Mid wife thinks she may see her over the weekend but time will tell. I have had William a couple of days so that she can have a break. He is such a good little boy. Ross and I have been busy putting pea vine hay around some trees that we have planted. Was supposed to be quite wet today, but instead has been quite humid. We may well get a thunderstorm later tho. Big news in NZ is the stranding of a cargo ship off Tauranga and all the containers at a major list or even in the sea, A real maritime disaster. Had a call from Mary Stiles this morning to say that her daughter has found a wedding dress so I no longer need to be the dress maker. She was telling me that Trish Kyle ( I am sure I have the name right) is very ill. Been diagnosed with a brain tumor and riddled with cancer, so very sad. Enjoy the next part of your travels, and hopefully I will txt you in the next few days with news of a new grandchild. Take care and happy travels. Deirdre
New York You two must be really fit with all the walking! We did a lot of New York by double decker tour bus where you could hop on hop off at the sights you wanted to see.
We were at ground zero one year to the day after 9/11. Really eerie around the spot.
Like you folk we found it a great and interesting place to visit but without that WOW factor. A place not to miss but maybe not one that you need to visit too many times.
Have a great time on the next step of your adventure.
Cheers

Hi Grandma and Grandad!!!!!!! Mum and dad have been reading the blogs. I asked them what was NY.They told me NY is a short version for New york. How was your time in New York? Did you see anything i would like?We are in the school holidays and we are going to the Smurf movie next week and it is Jodus is having a party with his friends.
Miss you Grandma and Grandad Love you lots and lots From Stephanie

New York Hi to you both. What a wonderful trip you are having.
We loved out Amtrac journey across the States although don't be in a hurry! Freight trains take preference on the tracks in the states.
I wonder if your arrival at Penn Station is at 2pm during the day or like ours was at night. Quite a magic scene coming up out of the station to all those tall buildings and lights.
At least you will have some time to relax in the observation cars and put your feet up for a while.
Cheers

Glad to be able to keep up to date via this website. Sounds like so much fun already, besides the flights obviously. But with all that travel you have to expect some crap. Please say hi to Ted for me, and tell him sorry for being such an annoying kid when he was in NZ. Glad you guys are having fun and once again embarking on such a journey. Look forward to your next update.
PS: your right pokie machines are over rated. But glad you gave it a go. Love from Me, Miri and kids
catching up Hi Joy and Bruce
great to hear your adventures so far. You've shown great self control around all the temptations of LV.
The Cirque show sounds wonderful - a much better experience than our friends had seeing it at the Vector Arena earlier this year. It is certainly better in a big top or round theatre.
Joy the comp went well at the weekend. Your little one and coaches all seemed happy. Haven't had a chance to check their results yet. I can let you Know next email.
Won't repeat the training day for Nationals straight after our comp again though! Gymnasts trained well but coaches absolutely zonked!!!!
Happy travelling. Look forward to revisiting the places we enjoyed so much through your eyes.
Cheers

Crikey...watch yourself..today its french toast, sausage and pokies tomorrow its full on Mcdonalds and blackjack!! Sounds like your having a good time anyway. Joy keep away from those retail outlets they are evil and the work of the devil. The casinos pale into the distance compared to the $$ you can destroy in Macys or the Levi shop. Sounds like the city that never sleeps has claimed a couple more victims for sleep deprivation. Enjoy..you only live once. Have a good one and keep safe.
GC What a wonderful start to your trip. My Mark was there 10 yrs ago and brought us home a poster. A real fascinating place to visit. Hope you slower paced tour has been enjoyable. Tension is still a bit tense at schoolo. Just wish some people would get over Dawid's announcement and move on and not be so negative. Looking forward to the holidays. Have had a day in the garden today so have eliminated quite a pile of weeds!!! Have a great next few days and much love. Deirdre
Hi guys! Bruce I think you must be jinxed – our dollar has dropped against the US and it’s only been a day! (Not that you\'ll be worrying about that!) Looking forward to your next entry... From the health and planning crew
