What fun! Bruce and Joy, my mother forwarded to me your blog so I can now follow. The pictures are amazing and your story makes me feel like I am with you! So glad you are enjoying your time. Happy belated 55th Anniversary!
Praise the Lord!! So thankful to read you're home safe & sound. So boring here w/out quips, stories, laughs, giggles, etc. What a grand time we had all thanks to you for making the effort to travel to NYS & WG. Looking forward to your next visit when we can visit the sheep being milked in Lancaster, PA!! Love to all.
Jealous much! I love love love reading your blog.... Please don't forget about me next trip... Amazing photos Joy, would love to see more... You two manage to do so much in such over such a short time, perhaps next time you need to head home to the beach to lax out for a couple of days before hitting the grindstone again... Thanks again for a great blog, Bron..
HK Didn't add the "facilities in China, too"...comment to the "facilities in Japan" re: Corning, Inc......as in the glass is a part of both. (And I can't even blame my errors on an 11 hour flight!)..............
Hong Kong Hello! I have so enjoyed your blogs and feel like I have been traveling with you throughout your adventures! Have to just send a quick "tie-in" about all of the technology you saw in HK. Corning Incorporated (the Headquarters building was right beside the museum in Corning) is the industry leader in LCD glass and is now heavily involved in the 3D market/other portable devises with their "Gorilla Glass" and with the upcoming "Lotus Glass". They have facilities in Japan, of course. I imagine you are home by now and am hoping you have found your own pillow!! Hugs, Becky
Hi Joy & Bruce
have loved following your blog. Nicola is in HK in Jan so now I can tell her what markets to go to & to do Ocean Park but watch the rides! You both have had a wonderful experience and thank you for letting me tag along.
Its all Chinese to me You must be relieved to be out of Egypt it appears to be going off at the moment. Just a word....no matter what you eat in Hongkong it's all Chinese food. If you buy it in China it's Chinese. Hope Joys toe is better but it could be advantageous as it may slow shopping down?? NOT! Enjoy your last days of freedom and live it up
Saving the best til last Its sounds like you savedd the best til last. It's amazing scenery through there eh!! Make sure you buy a newspaper for the dead sea floating shot on the camera. Travel safe and enjoy your time in Amman. Take care.
Holy Moses Batman!! Crikey by the sounds of it you guys are gonna need a holiday after the holiday...But enough of the sympathy..Sounds like an amazing time had by all and well worth the short sleeps..Lucky you guys are young and able to handle it?? Save yourselves for Petra its worth it!! Enjoy and travel safe.
Sounds like your having a great time cruising up the Nile. I hope AbuSimbel was fantastic and blew you away. Hope you have a great day at the Valley of Kings make sure you pick a fast donkey! Take care

Hope you haven\'t been caught up in any of teh political turmoil. Old Belesconi seems to have cooked his own goose now!.HAd our final assembly yesterday with fareewells to Jan and Dawid. Applications closed for his job yesterday. A number of womenhave come thru\' which is interesting. Think they short tlisty them this weekend and interview next. Susanna applied for her old job back at Dannevirke and missed out on it. Cannot afford to drop $15,000 I think i heard just to be an ordinary teacher!!! Seniors are on exam leave now with the 1st exams tomorrow. The network upgrade seesm to be going well. Classes are being moved to accomodate the workmen. Weather is slowly warming up, but in saying that temps are down to 15 tomorrow. Am walking in the MEGA Mitre 10 walk this weekend starting at Awatoto adn walking round to the Napier store. - 17 km. Though 28 k from Hastings to Napier just a tad too far. You are really having a fabulous trip. Enjoy the last 3 weeks and I look forward to seeing all the photos and hearing all the stories on your return. Happy travels. Deirdre
more ruins you would think in this day and age that they would use some municipal monies and get rid of all those old ruins or at least do them up a bit!! A little bit of paint and paper goes a long way.
Sounds like you are having a great time and good to see that you had a home cooked meal of spaghetti? But enough of that foreign muck what about mince on toast?
Hopefully the weather lasts for your last days there. I am guessing that the rain in Egypt won't be a problem? Take care and travel safe
Loving the blog Really enjoying your trip blog. Thank you. Am going to New York in Feb so was really interested in what you were saying there. Will certainly get the metrocard! Nicola is going to England, Berlin, Switzerland,Northern Ireland, and New York so I will be telling her what you have found and saw. Have fun and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Christines house Hi Mum and Dad
Im sure Ryan has already told you, but if he hasnt. We spent about 2 or so hours at Christines house the other day. Moved the boxes and furniture up to the sleepout, put the rubbish down in the garage and I weed eated the whole, well most of, the property, took me over 1 1/2 hours to do. The overgrown grass situation was nearly as bad as the lower section of our property. Everything was all ok there though. Im enjoying reading the Blogs so keep them coming. Love you both. Keep having fun :)
