After a very long journey from London to Lima via a five hour stop in Madrid (Inc a 3 hour delay) we arraived at our first destaintion...the first of possibly 14 countries.... So, Lima what we can we say? We have been staying in Barranco, a rather nice little area overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Miraflores is the bigger, more well known area about half an hours walk away, either along the beach or along the cliff tops.. either is a pretty cool walk. After what seems an age of reasearch, visiting shops, online comparing and deliberating, a variety of rucksacks, approach shoes, sleeping bags and waterproof liners should all now be winging their way to us from various internet companies across the land. Our First Entry. After a difficult start to the year, Andrea and I decided that if either one of us was made redundant, we would take a year out and go and see the world, something we had both wanted to do for some time.
