Hi all, Sorry it's been a while, things in Croatia a little antiquated (hence the photos didn't come through properly), then we were travelling and it's taken us until now to catch our breath. Back to Croatia and the Dalmatian coast. We decided to try and cram everything in and so we were once again tired but exhilarated by what we saw in Croatia. We went up to the Village to visit Jo's Dida (grandad) and managed to catch a lift with one of the many Opacak relatives so the trip took 45 minutes instead of double that. Village life was an eye opener to us both, such simple living which is agreeing with Dida because he's 81 and still looking after acres of vegie patches. Saw resident donkeys and befriended a gorgeous puppy we named ... read more

G'day everyone, Well, we have done London, Amsterdam and are now in the gorgeous Croatia and I now understand why Josie raves about it so much. But first, London. We arrived early Tuesday morning, checked into our dive of a hotel (seriously you can't get anything decent there for less than $200 per night), and then we slept! I know it sounds like we're sleeping this trip away sometimes but it's tough going all this changing of time zones and it's not being kind to our bodies. Anyway, we got up around 9pm and went and checked out Piccadilly, Leicester Square and then had dinner in China Town before heading back to sleep some more. The next day Stu woke up sick again and spent the day in bed. I was coming in and out because ... read more

OK so we arrived in the Big Apple to thunderstorm conditions which stayed with us for the entire time we were there...but was a little rain going to stop us? I think not! We arrived at 11pm last Friday night and went to Catherine's room to give her much needed hugs and kisses given it's been 13 years since we last saw each other. Then, because Stu and I hadn't eaten since breakfast and because American airlines appear not to feed you on domestic flights, we headed out for something to eat and a bit of a catch up. Headed to a place called TGI Friday's (stands for Thank God It's Friday) and had a great meal but we were a bit puzzled at the end when we received the bill and had to scale the ... read more

Hi folks, We left San Fran on Thursday afternoon little realising that we were leaving the last of the 'normal' cities we would be seeing for quite a while. The drive along highway 1, which hugs the Pacific coastline was absolutely amazing, made even more so by the fact that we were given a brand new Mustang convertible (V6) to drive! Woo Hoo - we were stoked! Amazing scenery, winding roads, a couple of stops and about 8 hours later we realised LA was going to take forever if we stayed on 1, so we overnighted in a place called San Louis and then went via Highway 101 to LA the next morning. And then it began....the suspension of reality that is! The traffic into LA got a bit hairy from about an hour out of ... read more

Well we have finally arrived in San Francisco after a marathon 16 hr flight - eek. Stu survived the flight ok and I slept most of the way (surprise surprise) so by the time we arrived, managed to find where we were meant to be going (the organised PR person forgot to print out the address of the hostel!), caught the skytrain into the city and then lugged our luggage about 2km uphill to the hostel Stu was by all means absolutely shagged! 'Scuse the language but no other way to describe it. By the time we waited 45 mins for our room Stu collapsed onto the bed, but having slept for about 8 hours of our flights I was wide awake so I went adventuring on my own. Found Little Italy, The World's Crookedest Street ... read more

It's hard to write about such an amazing day in one's life but I'll give it a whirl and hopefully for those of you who weren't there you will get a feel for just how amazing it truly was. It started out with Stu and I waking up next to each other, the last time as single people, both very excited about the journey that lay ahead. After a relaxed breakfast and swim, we parted ways about lunchtime with me going up to Ma and Pa's room and Stu staying at ours to get ready. As part of the package we bought, my hair and make-up lady arrived about 2.30pm to start the beauty process and we were done about 4.30pm (yes it takes a while!). The nerves didn't really set in until I put my ... read more

Well, we finally made it to Thailand! For those who don't know, my back packed up on me the day before we were due to leave and I literally couldn't walk without Stu holding me up. But thanks to a brilliant chiropractor who adjusted me at home and again on Sunday at the clinic we were able to get on the plane as scheduled. it has been a little sore but nothing too bad so that's on the mend. bangkok is an assault on the senses, with noise, pollution and too many neon sights for your irises to take in all at once. You have to go just to say you've been there. We did a fair amount of walking around looking for a Personal media Centre for Stu which we located on the last day, ... read more

So....after a year of organising and counting down, the time is nearly here. We leave tomorrow to start our journey of fun, marriage and many adventures. The past week or so has been very much a time of lasts; the last time I send an email as Kylie Pitman, the last time I sign my name as a Miss, the last time we see friends before we get married, the last time we see friends and family before they join us in Thailand for the big day, the last time I can cuddle Dex for a while (don't get me started on that!). But - we are getting very excited as the hours tick down. We are both packed, passports and tickets ready and most things checked off the To Do list which has been in ... read more
