So today we had our first experience on a National Express equivalent public bus! not fun! no toilet and constant beeping from the driver made it very hard to sleep-or do anything else!!Air con like a freezer so it was nice to get off every now and then to warm up!!haha! Another very early start and another public bus, less beeping but a few random Cambodians and a very odd in-bus entertainment system and then a private bus after a stop in town and a huge Hawaiian pizza went down really nicely!!!! we drove to the village where we were going to be staying in a home stay and dropped off our stuff. Basic accommodation is not really the word. A hut on sticks!! Ok so after a seriously long amount of time spent flying we eventually got a room at singapore airport and had a nice swim on the rooftop pool in the morning. We boarded our flight for bangkok and matt finally finished watching Kung-FU panda after 3 attempts! he was pleased! We arrived in Thailand and were finally relieved to be reunited with our rucksacks which hadn't been seen since leaving heathrow!! OK, touchdown in Singapore airport after a brief stop in Hong Kong, weather hot but some rain going on. plane journey's a little trying when we are both screaming out for sleep! a dip in the pool on the airport roof is on our agenda during our 12 hour wait! Matt caved in at Heathrow and invested in a DS and guitar hero game but we are looking out for more cheap games-godsend on long flights and waiting in the airport-especially using airport electricity to charge them!! both very excited about the next leg where our tour starts!
