Today I didn't do much at all. Only a couple of loads of washing and a lot of slothing! I also talked to my Wayne and kids on Skype. I miss them. In the evening I went shopping at Hamleys - an incredibly gianormous toystore. It is six stories high, and choccas full of toys! I might the kids a few little presents. The highlight of today was seeing the Ben Elton musical 'We will rock you' which was fantastic and very funny. I recommend seeing it.... read more

Today we got started fairly late, but when we got moving, we caught the tube to the Museum... which one? I think the Museum of Enland// or London. We had a good wander around and some nice chats. The special thing about this museum is that it just displays things that have been dug up or found in London. A lot of findings happen incidently during the knocking down and rebuilding of buildings. Outside the museum is the site of Charles Wesleys conversion and in a big memorial is printed his testimony (see photo). What a great thing to have those words on display for all. After the museum we walked up to St Paul's Cathedral in the pouring rain to take some pictures. After we arrived back home Annie and I read Phillipians 1 together ... read more

I just re read that last blog post. It makes no sense! Not my finest work! No wonder Mark McCarthy is supposing I am consuming much wine! Which I am not, I will have him know. Sun has come out so I am going off on an adventure by myself. Annie is at work today. Will blog about yesterday tomorrow! ;-)... read more

Today Annie and I went to visit Fiona (Annie's old flatmate who I got to know a little bit in 2007) and her new baby J in the town of Woking (nicknamed shocking woking). He is only about 8 weeks old and was so lovely to cuddle! It further cemented in my mind the idea of having another baby (possibly, maybe???)! I enjoyed chatting with Fiona is a very honest person - a breath of fresh air. If the highlight of the day was cuddling baby J, then the low light definately was baby J vomited dawn my clevage! After we visited Fi we caught the train back to Waterloo Station and walked across the waterloo bridge and took some great photos of Westminster. I also bought a painting from a french man who was painting ... read more

I forgot to take pictures today! Oh well. Today we went shopping in Oxford St and went into an expensive clothes department store, which I can't remember the name of, but the dresses were around the 250 pound mark which was very ridiculous. I had fun helping Annie choose a dress for a wedding, although she came home empty handed in the end. I also bought some tourist tack for friends, and a new Singstar mic (which was a gift from Annie) cause one of them must have broken on the journey over. But the best purchase of the day was some badges with punk slogans on them which I immediately attached to my satchel. The whole thing is a bit of a sad pay out really! I met some more of Annie's lovely friends and ... read more

Well I am here in London! I arrived at Heathrow at 6:30 am yesterday. Lucky for me I am already over the jet lag - thanks to Annelies making me stay up all day long. Annie and her flatmate had some friends over for dinner last night and I was so tired by the early evening all I could do was giggle through entire conversations. Last night I met the funniest person on earth! Funny, I can't even remember her name now - oh well. After being picked up from Heathrow and having a shower and calling the hubby and kids, we headed out to experience some markets. We stopped first in Brixton to walk through the street markets - fantastic atmosphere! I loved looking around me at all people from different cultures, nations and colours. ... read more

I am flying out of Oz in 2 sleeps time! On Friday afternoon! I am so nervous and excited. After 8.5 years of marriage I find it hard to go solo and be responsible for knowing stuff, and finding stuff and understanding directions, etc. Normally, I just let information flow over me and sit back and enjoy the view. It is amazing how dependent I have become! I can't wait to see A again. I am going to miss W and the Kids so much. Over the last week I have been thinking about what an amazing husband I have to let me go overseas AGAIN, and enjoy myself AGAIN, while he stays with the kids AGAIN! I am very thankful indeed. ... read more
