The day really started when we caght the bus to Dunedin to have a look around and go certain places, the first place was a church called the first church which we passed by on the way to the chinese gardens. Aparently the whole structure for the chinese gardens was moved all the way from shanghai. There we learned a form of showing you're rich, the taller the foot stall in the door way was the richer you were. For us all it was wierd and joked about if you were too rich you would need stairs getting over it. Then we visited a hobby shop to look at warhammer, my brother got off task and brought some yu-gi-oh cards meanwhile on task dad found a new way to play. After that me and my brother ... read more

After we went on the bungie trampaline where i did 9 backflips and Bailey did 0. We went to see the movie the last airbender book 1 water at 6:00pm i loved how nearly every thing was nearly based along the story line of the avatar the last air bender book 1 water. In the morning we drove to dunedin where we watched the AFL grand finals it was a tie 68 - 68. The day started at ten o'clock for me as I had a large sleep in. Me and my brother played our psps for quite a while until breakfast, for breakfast we had boring old cereal. Everything was boring till we rode in the gondolas up high enough in the mountain to see heaps of snow. We had lunch up there after we made a snow man (whos arms I ripped off and threw at the snowman) and a small snowball fight. After lunch we left the mountain for a walk in the town where we found a candyshop and got some fudge each) and then back to the camper van (me and mum left earlier than dad and Caleb because my foot hurt from the accident two days ago). Later today we are going to see ... read more

When we woke up there was snow everywhere and even on cars. Unluckily because of my sore foot I missed out on going in the snow before it melted this morning so I didn't get to play in the snow like I wanted to. My foot is sore because when we were at the hot springs yesterday I stepped on a sharp rock and cut the underneath of my right heel leaving a deep but thin cut and a larger cut. Dad and Mum took me to the doctors today and he said just to keep it dry and not get it wet so that it can heal on its own. We saw lots of snow covered mountains on the way to Queenstown and even some snow on the side of the roads. When we got ... read more

Last night it was snowing and it was prety cool but i know not to try to catch snowflakes in my mouth because they hit my eye. It was fun when i nearly got to throw snow again but this time it was freezing cold as if it was a miny antarctica in my hands. We stood out there for 15 minutes unfortunatly we had to go back inside. In the morning we woke up and had bacon and sausages for breakfast then we went outside to see how much snow was left, there was about three quarters of what we saw last night because it was getting quite warm. We went back onto the road again, Bailey and I watched Shaggy and Scooby Doo get a clue on Mum's laptop for most of the trip ... read more

Our first two days in New Zealand we stayed at Hether & Dave's (friends of Dad's) house, they live in small fishing village, Rakaia Huts, not far from Christchurch. On the way to their house they took us through Christchurch and showed us some of the earthquake damage. At Dave's house we got to round up sheep, first we tried to round them up on our feet but they got away so Dave got out his quad bike and allowed me and Caleb to have a turn at driving it for a while. Caleb drove it into a ditch and then I got to park it. The quad bike was totally fun to drive. We slept in out campervan at Dave's and surprisingly slept through 3 earth tremors (aftershocks) although Dad did tell me off for ... read more
