Brendan...awesome pictures! We are having a cold wave here - not cool. I thought we left the cold weather up on the Cape. When does spring come to China?
traveling to the south? where are you headed, if you don't mind my asking? i'm in nanchang now, was researching trips to hainan for a break from the cold. :)
warmth enjoy your sojourn to the south....be with you in spirit. On the last day of the year is the full Cold Moon, which is also a blue moon, being the second in one month. so you can do and say all the things you only do once in a blue moon. Love you Bren.
shoplifting last time I was in London I was wandering in Soho, and these bullet-bodied fierce men ran down a young gangly Jamacian boy, and took him HARD to the ground, rough and mean, and all the bystanders and the shopkeepers were cheering them on, and I yelled "WHY?" and they said "he probably stole something, Theif! Theif!" and I yelled loudly at all their righteous pinhead British selves "You Don't KNOW he did ANYTHING! You didn't see ANYTHING! Who do you all think you ARE!???" at the cops, too. Assholes.
Temples! Looks amazing! This will definitely be on my list of things to see in Jianxgi.. I've actually been on a temple hunt in Nanchang, and thus far, none look as inspiring as this one..also, wouldn't describe myself as tree hugger but that tree is badass..is it not?
Best to you, nephew. I once brought winter clothes from Seattle to Hong Kong with a plan to sell in Nepal. But when I got to Nepal, I realized that they had all the best stuff from the mtn climbers. My load was worthless. Oh, well.
