Watch out! I don't know if you're aware yet but Elk and Moose can be B@!#%%^ dangerous. A ranger got killled in Yellowstone last year by an angry Elk. You may see heaps in Canada on bush walks. It's could be worth remembering. Canada...what a wonderful place.
love this picture. I was part of the game in 2010 and we were sleeping in Burnaby. On the sky train every morning we were passing what we use to call the ball. Anyway, I love your picture it remain me of how much I love this city.
Yosemite WOW, great write up, you two! It has been so long since Wen and I have been in Yosemite, we are planning a return trip. Thanks for keeping all of us informed of your travels! Always get a chuckle or two out of me....
A good laugh! I needed that! Been jet lagged since I arrived home and I had a good laugh reading your blog. Been to Sfo a few times but hey, towels or no towels,I haven't checked out these guys. Next time!
Empty the shitter Yeatsey! Thanks heaps for the updates guys, I'd love to have seen your faces when you hopped off at the cafe. I'm missing your hard hitting at the gym Gary, (actually I'm snowed under with schoolwork so I haven't been in two weeks).

Surf info Hi mate,
Just making some enqueries on Xmas island. Have been reading everything i can find on the place RE; the surf. Your blog sort of sums up where im at. Uncrowded , positive. Swell seems pretty consistant. Offshore Yes.
But are they real reef breaks, ie. Indo. From what i can gather so far , allthough they claim to have 20 plus surfable breaks , how many of them actually do break or are surfable quality? Have seen the footage of Fannings which looks good but apparently its to far to get to there from xmas. Is there anything similiar to Fannings on Xmas?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Jamie

You could always get your spare boards back from the Sols Might know where there's a spare board or two on an Island in the Pacific. You may be familiar with it, both the boards and the islands. You may even recognise the board cover.... Enjoy

Haole The Hawaiian tradition of "'Dis' the Haole" is still strong. Good to see they're holding on to some culture haha. I am also pleased to see you haven't forgotten how to salute. The Commissioner would be proud.
Retired people Dear Gaky, chickens and surfboard buriel's.
Like i've told my old man your retired you no everything and you've got all the time in the world to tell me about it. Rallo.
Gary and Penny, from the beginning... Again. Round the world for a year in 07 and we've decided it's time once more. So packing up the house, the jobs, selling the cars and up up and away, this time with no return ticket and no fixed itinerary. A smidgin reckless, sure, but what the hell. May as well indulge in a few passions before the last great journey in who knows when.
Stay tuned and please stay in contact, cause whilst we love seeing what the rest of the world has to offer, we also love receiving news from home base.... full info
