AMAZING OMG how good does that sound? Wish I was flying Europe way instead of US on Wednesday. Boston Conference - but a week in Bermuda first so not so bad. Great to hear your news. Travel safe. Fiona and Doug
Great photos and the slow life I adore Annecy, and you've depicted it perfectly! I love that you're just living in and feeling these places and letting them settle in your and our bones. Bon voyage!
Much ado about buying bread Yes. And I LOVE IT! Buying it fresh, lining up to buy, and resisting to nibble on the bread on your way back to the hotel.
I love how you photographed Paris here. How refreshing. And Penny snoozing. naughty ;-)
Stellar photos, as usual! Your photos are some of the best I've seen of Paris--really original angles, such as those of the Pompidou. How wise and wonderful, too, to spend a week, just sauntering and snapping the city--brings back great memories--thanks!
Farewell Latvia & Estonia I have been loving your blogs from this part of the world - I know absolutely nothing about it.......but now my travel list has gotten even longer. Fabulous photos too!
i love cruising! I always had to restrain myself from pushing any buttons whenever Vacationstogo pops on my screen. Yeah. Takes a lot of willpower.
Stunning photography there. My Russian photos were so bad i could only post a few on my Russia blog. And I most certainly enjoyed reading your blog. would read more. I'm a fan. love your writing style.
Tallinn One of the coolest places that we've ever been to! Loved it there. We were one of those cruise-goers and would have loved to see the place during the nighttime. Keep enjoying...
Norway appears so beautiful in your photos ,loved your blog, sounds like a good place for us poor folk to fly over and look out the window
By the way the house behind your complex burnt down last week , at the end of Redgum Ave ,you can thank me for saving your abode ,one of those Norwegan 6 pks will do
Keep good you guys , cheers Ryno
hi Just thought I'd check in and say hi. Hi. Been keeping an eye on your travels and once again you are both having a ball. Woz, Sarah and Matilda are coming up for lunch this Sun 26th of Aug, so we'll 'cheers' a beer/wine for you both.
If prices are that high I wonder why an entrepreneur doesn't just import food and sell it at half the price... or do they have high tarriffs? I'm also wondering if there are cheaper alternatives such as taking the coastal cruise, or taking a Eurailpass, or renting a car from Sweden or Denmark, loading it with food and a tent and sleeping bags and camping everywhere.
All of the above I spoke to a Danish guy who brought I a six pack and that is the limit without paying huge taxes. Everything is heavily tariffed. Rent a car online through one of those agencies as Priceline. It could be possibly be cheaper in Sweden or Denmark. Pretty tough to get around the accommodation and food costs.
Gary and Penny, from the beginning... Again. Round the world for a year in 07 and we've decided it's time once more. So packing up the house, the jobs, selling the cars and up up and away, this time with no return ticket and no fixed itinerary. A smidgin reckless, sure, but what the hell. May as well indulge in a few passions before the last great journey in who knows when.
Stay tuned and please stay in contact, cause whilst we love seeing what the rest of the world has to offer, we also love receiving news from home base.... full info
