Ann here -- I would make Katt post this entry but it's 11:15pm here and she is in Manhattan with David, their 22 year old cousin Steve and his girlfriend Brie. Got the group going at about 1pm today... drove into Manhattan with tour guide Phil at the wheel. Made a quick pit stop by his local hangout (the bike shop) so we could see the place. Once in the city, we parked near Phil's office near 37th and 7th Ave. Refrained from stopping at any of the shops in the garment district (for now). Hopped on the subway and took it to 59th St and Broadway. David now knows why you hang on when the subway doors close! :) Walked up Broadway to Columbus Ave... walked up Columbus parallel with Central Park. Adding all ... read more

Katherine again--Remember how I said we stayed up until 4 last night? Well I decided before passing out on my bed to set my alarm on my phone to make sure I didn't sleep in until 1 in the afternoon the next day. I figured that everyone would be up a little earlier than usual to get the day started so I set my alarm for 9:00. Not being able to get back to sleep despite my desire to, I went down stairs and soon realized I was the only one up besides Phil and Mary. I was soon informed by Phil that the first one up runs errands with him. We went to: the car wash, the bagel shop, the florist, and the bike shop. All in about one hour. All the while getting a ... read more

Katherine here--We knew we were in trouble when Phil asked what shape we were in when we arrived at 11:30pm in the La Guardia airport. Something told us we weren't headed straight home. True to his character, he had a plan...and a 16 ounce cup of coffee right before we arrived. He took us onto the Triborough Bridge to Manhattan starting in Spanish Harlem and turned onto Park Avenue. We drove all the way to Broadway to see the best place to be on a Friday in the middle of the night...Times Square. At about Broadway and 45th he told us to get out of the car and walk down Broadway to 42nd and cut across to Eighth where he would meet us. All of this at a little after midnight and right off the ... read more
