Being back in a big city was kind of strange.... I was staying with Lynn at Billabong, a nice hostel with swimming pool and lots of places to relax and chill out...Perth itself is a big city, but different. The city centre, like in all the main cities i've been so far here in OZ, in composed of huge skyscrapers, nice tropical parks, people everywhere...but the moment u pass the 'border' of this district, everything becomes small...only one or two stores buildings, small shops and cafes, lots of bars and pubs (specially in northbridge)...very nice...but what had catched more my attention [View Full Entry]

Hellou mi gente!!! The three days driving from Broome to Perth were absolutly exhausting. we drove between 10 to 15 hours every day (no faster that 100km/h) in the most staight roads u can imagine. The first day there were only three of us, Lynn Tony the drier and me. Yeah, i know start realising how crazy u can get when u are bored!! haha looking back i had fun, but in that moment i wish i had paid those 400 bugs for a flight!!! we slept in Karajini NP (again) bc we had to pick up some people there. Hey there!! I'm in Broome right now, but about to leave to Perth in a few hours. The trip from Exmouth to Broome has been really nice. Part of the people of the group returned from exmouth to perth. Only seven of the twenty of us continued up to Broome. We had a new bus and a new guide (good to have a new bus, cause the aircon on the first one broke down!!and it was really hot). We made our way up to Karijini NP during a whole day of driving. The park is famous for its gorges....lots of them, [View Full Entry]

Istarted my trip from Perth. Perth is a big modern town, with a fanstatic atmosphere...lots of cafes and re [View Full Entry]

The milingimbi experience has been one of the best things i could have done to realize how complicated and special the aboriginal culture is... (to see the map above, put the zoom down!!) Milingimbi is one of the biggest islands (40 square km) of the Crocodile Group of Islands. These islands are about 250 km east from Darwin. how do u get there?? in a very very small plane in which u cannot even stand!!! what an experience!! everything has to be weight before u get into the plane, to avoid overweight...even the passangers!! haha and if u have to much [View Full Entry]

hey there!! now, after visiting the outback and seeing how hard the life can be because of the heat and the dryness, we got to the humidity (85%) combined with heat (41 C!). I now realize how much i've travelled, how big the distances have been and how different the landscape is after a day drive. I would rather say that australia is composed of many different countries!! by the way, that's the aboriginal way of seeing OZ. For them, australia is composed of different countries, with different languages and cultures, absolutly different the ones to the others. That's one of [View Full Entry]

My trip form Adelaide to Alice Springs has been amazing. I had a very nice group of people, this time much younger, and a funny guide who made the whole trip much more entretaining. In total we have droven over 3000 km in 6 days which means lots and lots of hours driving, seeing absolutly stunning things but also a very similar landscape for several hours, but very different from one day to another. It is very hard so summarize it..lets see what i can do!! :) i will just highlight the most interesting things i think... We spent the first [View Full Entry]

McKenzie Falls
i got pretty wet... :D
The day started very early this saturday...First we went to have a look at some wild kangoroos (i'm tired of kangoroos and koalas by now) and then, back in the bus, we went to the McKenzie Falls. We had to go down looooots and looots of steep steps to get to this spectaular waterfall which was really nice. I even got to saty just infront of the waterfall, where me and my camara we got pretty wet (therefore the strange reflection on the picture), but whoch was absolutly worth doing!! The way up the staires was a good warming up for [View Full Entry]
