Thursday, June 28, 2007 We were in the Lake Louise parking lot by 7:45 am getting ready for the hike of the day. This was a recommended hike and it was a doozy! Frank went to the very end of the trail so he walked about 9.5 miles and climbed about 2100 Ft. I stopped at the tea house on the trail so it was 7.75 miles for me and about 1500 Ft. The hike followed the lake, went through a spruce forest, then went up a ridge and followed the glacier till (debris-mostly rocks). We saw snow on the path and there were many glacier melt waterfalls on the way. The day was overcast, but it wasn’t cold or windy. So it was comfortable, but the photo colors weren’t great.
