Okay so let's begin from the beginning... I left Laos after two weeks for Vietnam, ready to find some adventure in a new country. And adventure is exactly what I got. I left from Savannakhet, Laos and after 26 hours, three buses, a rip off of a taxi, and a sleep outside of a restaurant at the border in the middle of the night, i arrived in Hanoi. It a beautiful city, spotted with lakes and parks, and a constant flow of motorbikes like a river down the streets. Old architecture, stylish cafes, the works. After spending a few days exploring, I went up to Sapa, a small green hill station in the Northern Highlands. It is a beautiful place, surrounded by rolling green hills, with rice patties etched into each hill face making it ... read more

So yes I realize that the last time I wrote was about a month and a half ago and I was in Nepal but I have been moving and shaking and have since ended up In Laos. I left Pokara in Nepal and headed to Kathmandu, which turned out to be an incredible place but truly crazy and a lot like India with the pollution and the garbage. But I enjoyed it a lot, ran into a group of friends I met at the forest I was working on in India and hung out with them for a few days before making the decision to fly to Bangkok straight from Nepal instead of trying to go back in through India to get there. So I took one of the nicest flights I have ever taken ... read more

Ah so it has been a while I know, but I have been doing a lot and haven't had the motivation to write it all down yet. But I am here in Nepal now, and have walked for 20 minutes to find an internet that doesn't charge you diamonds to use it so I figure now is as good a time as ever. So... I left Delhi at the end of April. I said goodbye to a new but dearly loved friend, and to an amazing adventure. I strapped on my pack and the memories that I would now be carrying alone again. The load felt a lot heavier. But after a 13 hour bus ride, including 1 flat tire, and a physical altercation between a passenger and one of the guys working on the bus, ... read more

So ALOT has happened in the last two weeks since I wrote last. Juli and I have traveled to 5 different cities, had some incredible adventures, and helped me to accomplish one of my goals in India (The Keralan backwaters). We left Varkala a few days after the massive festival I wrote about. In the next days, we took a fishing boat out to sea with our German neighbor-dads, had some incredible conversations with people from around the world late into the evenings, as monsoon rains drenched the bamboo-hut-restaurants, and then graciously decided to leave the comfortable tourist-hole that is Varkala. We said goodbye to our new and dear friends and went up the coast to Allepey. On the first night we met some great travelers at a restaurant and had yet another late night chatting ... read more

So there will not be an official part 2 to Sadhana Forest Part 1... for laziness or change of path, I am not sure but let us move on together. As of now it has been over a month since I stepped into the Sadhana Forest. It is a uniquely special place and an incredible opportunity for learning ad growth, but eventually time grabs your wrist and pulls harder than your grip on the present. It took a bike wreck to add the final effort, but I have left, and instead of sadness or regret i feel completely free again, which is probably what I needed most. .... I will begin with the bike wreck. One afternoon, in an attempt to fill our hot and endless afternoons, a large group of us decided to got ... read more

My mornings begin with the waking of the sun. I lay motionless in my thatch hut, staring through the finely knitted mosquito net up at the ceiling. I roll gently through the dew that clings to my body, and listen to the gentle melody of the guitar as it dances its way into my ears. The rising song that changes every morning, but remains familiar with its methodical timing. i quickly throw on a pair of shorts and creep out into the mass of people, whom I now call my friends. With the visible mist that hangs heavy over the compound, it feels as though I am waking up on a cloud. And as the rays of the sun come peircing through the clouds, it feels like I have landed in the heavens. I walk in ... read more

Ah what a whirlwind of a week i have had. To start things off I left Rishikesh with a group of kids and held up in a little hotel room in Delhi, just 3 guys and an indian dog with prone to peeing on everything in sight . But it turned out to be such a great experience. I met some of the best people I have met yet in India, and got to see a city unlike anything I had seen yet. To me Delhi is the gigantic captil, where the East slopily tries to meet the West. Where buildings rise up above the mound of garbage, monsterously large but still stained and smelly. Where you can eat at a subway, while staring at beggars watching you eat. A city full of action and people, ... read more

Ah hello again, So sadly Rishikesh is now just another memory in my already over brimming mind. I left unexpectedly after meeting a group of travelers who were coming to Delhi. They were leaving for delhi the next night, so I scrambled to tie up loose ends in the city, experience every last second of the happiness that Rishikesh brought me, and then set out with 3 Brits, a Spaniard, a Chilean, and an Indian dog named Melina... But first, let me recap on the last days spent in magical Rishikesh. After leaving the ashram me and my 60 year old friend Jane, who is possibly the most amazing person I have met thus far, got a hotel in the center of the town. I dedicated the mornings to going to participate in satsung with the ... read more

Wow! I can't believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since I posted on here. It really feels like it was yesterday that I was last on here. Well aolt has happened in the last weeks. Randall, Brittney and I travelled to Orccha, and then Varanasi, and then I parted ways with them, spent a few more days there and came up to a yoga retreat at an ashram in Rishikesh. Iv'e covered alot of ground already but it feels like I have barely brushed the tip of the iceberg. This counrty is so incredibly large and diverse, each state containing a completely different scenery than the next. And the people are all so unique to the place they live. I am now in Rishikesh in Uttarakhand state. It is a small little religious town ... read more

So day 6 in Bundi, we have stayed here a few days longer then anticipated because we were invited (well rather we invited ourselves) to have dinner with the family of this Indian artist we met here. His name is Yug and he was very excited to have his sister cook for us. So we extended our stay and decided to do a little relaxing while we were here. Bundi is an amazing little town, which doesn't see alot of tourists so it was terrific insight into Indian culture, full of the friendliest and most inviting people I have met. No hagglers yelling "my friend my friend, come see my shop!" WE stayed the first night at R.N. Haveli a cheap little guest house highly recommended in lonely planet. It seemed cheap enough and the room ... read more
