I love eating, traveling, video games, and small, fat animals.

I just graduated with my Masters in Management and will be starting a job in the real world quite soon. I hope this job does not prevent me from traveling as much as I want to.

What a nice day. We got to sleep in. With the travel group we had to wake up early for stupid outings. We’re back in Hong Kong and we’re in a different hotel now. It’s further away from the major parts of the city so we have to travel more to get anywhere, but the area is nicer/higher-class and the room is better than our old one. There’s also a ton of wireless internet around here unlike the last hotel. We met up with my uncle and his daughter for a vegetarian lunch. Their family is some sort of Buddhists so they’re vegetarians. None of their kitchenware has ever touched meat and if it ever does, they throw it away to buy new stuff. They’re allowed to eat eggs though; I don’t get that part. I ... read more

The next day was more tiring than fun. We went to a ton of shops that obviously paid the travel agency to take the groups to. First we went to a bee place where they sold honey products for health and beauty and eating. Then there was a giant jewelry store that had its own short ride reminiscent of Spaceship Earth about the history and creation of gems. I actually enjoyed the ride, hehe. Then we went to a zoo where we saw a pig that did math, pig races, a scorpion queen, and tons of other animals. This zoo is most well known for its tigers. Since I’m allergic to cats, I stayed away. We made a pit stop at a random roadside market where there was a ton of dried meats and fruits. Then ... read more

Thailand is weird. I mean it’s been interesting and good and weird. We woke up really early in the morning to get to the HK International Airport by 9:00 am to meet up with our tour guide. My parents joined us up with a travel group to go to Thailand. The travel group consisted mainly of other HK locals. The plane ride from HK to Bangkok was only 2 and a half hours. Thailand customs was really freaking slow. Omigosh, I’ve gone through HK and mainland China customs to and fro but Thailand was freaking slow. I went into Thailand not knowing anything about the country and I still don’t know that much but it’s been interesting. The spoken and written language is really interesting. I can’t say I’ve ever been exposed to anything like it ... read more

Hong Kong Disneyland was cute and small. Maybe a little too small, but I was expecting that so I wasn’t disappointed or anything. It was Marty, Silo, Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Wing, his wife, my little cousin, and I. There’s a subway line straight to Disneyland so we just had to change a few stations to get there. The subway train was pretty neat looking. Very clean with blue velvet seats. All of the windows were Mickey-shaped. Between every other booth was a statue of a Disney character such as Snow White or Jiminy Cricket or Minnie, etc. My favorite part was the rings that hung from the ceiling for those who stood. They were Mickey-shaped as well. :D The walkway to Disneyland was decorated nicely and there was one spot with a giant fountain of a ... read more

I had the most bizarre experience going into mainland China. Last time we went to mainland, we went to see the sites, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, all the good stuff. This time, we were just taking a one-night trip to visit friends. So we take a short train ride across the border between Hong Kong and the mainland to Shenzhen. Shenzhen is actually pretty cool, lots of tall buildings. There's a hugeass mall Where the train station is. Rows and rows of stores, it would take more than a couple days to walk through. It was really annoying though because it was a touristy area and all of the shop-people kept coming up to us to tell us to come into their store or show us a catalog with their wares, etc. We didn't ... read more

We haven't done much sightseeing since we were holding off on the good stuff for Marty. Instead, my family had been concentrating on shopping, eating, and spending time with family. Every day was a new mall and restaurant. ... read more

I forgot my camera cord so any and all pictures up until Marty gets here with my camera cord are from my brother's digital camera. He bought this digital camera from his friend for ten bucks so it's a little weird. A lof of the pictures come out blurry, random focus issues. o_O It's also hard to take a lot of pictures when your brother doesn't want to take pictures or get his picture taken unless he's in the mood. Dude, Hong Kong is so tiring. I guess that's alright though because walking equals exercise. Yesterday we spent the day with the aforementioned family members Uncle Wing, his wife, May, and their daughter, 11 year old Tracy. They took us to the Hong Kong Museum of Science which was pretty neat. It was like any other ... read more

The Plane Ride

The plane ride was really long. o_O We took Cathay Pacific. Took off at 4:00 pm on May 29th, arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at 8:30 pm on May 30th. The first six hours were alright since I was able to occupy myself with the tv screen. Each seat had an individual monitor. They showed several movies but I only watched a few of them. I wached Narnia, Pocahontas, and Lady and the Tramp. They were also showing Brokeback Mountain, Underworld, the second Underworld, and I can't remember what else. Either way, I wanted cute and funny movies, not dramatic, actiony ones although I suppose those Disney movies had a little drama and a little action. The tv also had several channels which showed the same episodes of random shows repeatedly. I watched the same ... read more

Today my family and I left our town of Ft. Myers to fly to New York. New York is just a pit stop until our major flight tomorrow for Hong Kong. My parents originally came to New York when they first immigrated to the US so we have a good amount of family living on Long Island. Our flight left at 11:00 am and we arrived at 1:45 pm. I hate small planes. I really do, they freak me out. This plane was pretty small but not too bad. Luckily, the weather was perfect so the flight was completely smooth. Plus, my mom brought drugs. My mom has two sisters and a brother. My favorite is the younger sister since she was young and hip and I looked up to her. She's not so young anymore ... read more
