I walk these streets, a loaded six string on my back
I play for keeps , cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still I'm standing tall
I've seen a million faces
And I've rocked them all

With every new place I visit “The World” seems to get a little smaller, but “My World” seems to get a little bigger.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words. I will let them do the majority of the speeking for me.

We also spent time on 2 other east coast islands Ko Tao and Ko Samui. Ko Tao the smallest of the 3 islands It's surrounded by corral reefs. The number one thing to do here is dive. With more people getting their diving license here then any other spot on the planet. Plenty of choices of dive operators. We ended up diving with Scuba Junction one of the smaller operations, but very professional. I did 4 dives in the 3 days we spent there, Meagan also took a discover scuba course. It's a very simple life here on Ko Tao: Our mornings where spent diving. Afternoons are spent hanging out on the beach. Evenings are for watching the sunset and having dinner and drinks on the beach. Ko Samui the resort island of the 3. It ... read more

FULL MOON PARTY - VIDEOS and PHOTOS Ko Pha-Ngan This Island has a bit of everything. We stayed on the northwest side of the island on "Hat Salad" beach. One of the best beaches on the island, with a few high price resorts, and a couple small bungalows places. We stayed at "My Way Bungalows" very nice and cheap. Prices range from 250B to 900B. Worth a look. For one day we rented a scooter and jumped around from beach to beach on the northern coast. We also took in a elephant ride and a snake show. The snake show was interesting. One crazy guy taunting 4 King Cobras till they were rather annoyed. Then he proceeds to get close enough to kiss each of then on there heads. Then he pulled out some snakes for ... read more

Temples of Angkor There is nothing like Angkor anywhere on this planet. There is over 100 temples in the Angkor area. The 12th century city covered an area of over 100 Sq Kms with a population of over 1 million. At its core, the Great City, of Angkor Thom, is contained with high walls with huge faces carved in the gateways. Angkor Wat; the Worlds largest religious building covers one and a half square Kms and contains more stone than was used to build the great pyramid of Giza. Angkor Thom is is just the starting point. Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world is so big as to be hard to take in at once. The 200metre wide moat and causeway with the 350 metre entrance portico is impressive enough, but the grandeur ... read more

As if we weren't relaxed enough after our stay in Vang Vieng we decided to head down to Don Det, a little island in the middle of the Mekong river, where life is about as relaxed as you can get. Getting there involved a flight to Savannakhet then a 3 hour mini bus ride to Pakse where we were originally supposed to fly to but apparently that airport was closed. (it was a pretty nice trip though as we were the only passengers in the airports very new looking mini bus, with a driver and his friend who seemed very happy to leave work for the day to drive us) Once we arrived in Pakse we left our lovely air conditioned mini bus and crammed into a local "bus" (basically a pick up truck with ... read more

Vang Vieng If you are looking for a place to relax and do absolutely nothing this is the place. The first main activity available to help you waste away your day is lounging in a Friends bar eating or drinking while watching episode after episode of Friends (A few restaurants play Family Guy or South Park but the majority show Friends) Our first day there I think we watched at least 7 episodes of Friends, three while we ate lunch, and another four while we waited out the pouring rain that rolled in just as we finished eating. The second main activity is tubing down the Nam Song river. Basically they drive you a couple of kilometers up river and drop you off with a tube and you just float back to town, this takes a ... read more

We flew into Laung Prabrang, our first stop in Laos on he 18th of July. This is a relaxed little tourist town filled with lots of great guest houses and restaurants. After the congestion of Bangkok it felt as if we had just been dropped into paradise with the french colonial buildings, all finished with beautiful teak wood and looking as if they had been freshly whitewashed, add to this the surrounding jungle and the orchids sprouting out of everywhere and it was absolutely beautiful. We took a day trip to visit Pac Ou Caves a Cave containing hundreds of Buddhas, followed bye a visit to Tat Kuang Si waterfalls , Tim was so excited to visit this waterfall again as he had been on a previous trip and the waterfall forms lots of little pools, ... read more

Sorry for the delay, we are having too much fun to stop and put time in uploading photos. We are presently in Southern Thailand jumping from Island to Island. We have some relax time so I’m hopping to get a few entries on the blog so every one can see what we have been doing. Bangkok: we spent 4 nights here. After spending 24 hours getting here our first day was spent getting acclimatized to heat and humidity and the 13 hour time difference. Jet lag is a big issue for us, For the first week of our travel we had to take naps in the afternoon. In Bangkok we visited the Grand Palace, a few Wats, the flower market a couple of craft markets. We also took a boat tour through the waterways. We spent ... read more
