So beautify! - From: If You Build It, They Will Come
Yes,travel is a gift.Any other places you have been? And if you want to visit Lhasa, Tibet was one of the most exciting life experiences. I would recommend it to those able to respect cultural boundaries, and willing to explore the richness and beauty of the indigenous people. Find more about Tibet ,welcome to visit www.accesstibettravel.com.

Nice Blog - From: If You Build It, They Will Come
I enjoyed reading your blog... a great perspective on the traveling community. It's nice to finally read something with substance. I rarely read stuff on this website nowadays, because a lot of blogs being published on travelblog are rather quite off-putting. I'm really surprised that they even get published on the front page. Travelblog became a dumping site for bloggers who love to whinge and write really offensive blogs about the countries they visit.

Been missing your blogs ( i traveled with u guys through reading up all your blogs). But pls, don't hang up your gloves just yet. Too early for you. If you do, I'd feel so jaded and ancient. Take a break, rest up your walking legs if you will , but yes, do South America!!!

I love you guys. Right now it is 3am after Nichole and Shawn's wedding. Regina has a heart and soul big enough to sustain you both for a while. I am glad we are sort-of-neighbours. We will sustain you with blender drinks and card games as long as you both will tolerate us. Together we (us 4) can work on making "Heritage" a fabulous place to live. But for now I have to help finish the keg. Love you both...I hope this chilly city can hold you for awhile because you make it absolutley phenominal! my heart and home anytime good friends!

Anyway, nice to see other peeps having fun in the sun and acting delirious! Aloha, Shirley!

this reminds me of me and Dennie's trip to Denmark; the last day was spent looking for an underwater statue of Posidon and his mer-daughters, located somewhere in the bottom of a canal in downtown Copenhagen. We found it and it was, well, underwhelming, albeit underwater. Then off to see THE little mermaid, an hour's walk out of the city, cite of hundreds, if not thousands of asian couple's honeymoon photos. It's really small.

"The Yellow Dart"
No apologies needed! - From: Self loathing in the backpacker ghetto
This response is a bit late as you are now on a different continent; however, I have to come to the defence of my old friend Mr. Sardines, a "citizen of the world" (for the record). There is a fundamental difference between a traveller and tourist. "Travelman," thinks there is no distinction so from now on I will be referring to the aforementioned as "Touristman". The difference is one of self-realization versus self-indulgence. A traveller is on a journey as opposed to a vacation. A traveller is open-minded to learning and experiencing new things. A tourist (man) hides behind tourbus windows and fortified hotels seeking to catch an artificial glimpse of the indigenous culture to keep as a kitchy souvenir or mount on the wall like a prize. The rest of the vacation is spent in the sun sipping exotic cocktails and haggling over prices of trinkets that can be bought wholesale from their sweatshop of choice. A traveller learns a lesson about sustainability and must rely on himself to find his own way. The traveller, carries a pack and can't afford to burden himself with accumulating material wealth. The one luxury a traveller can afford is a camera, taking pictures that matter - have meaning, and memory. "Mr. Happysnaps" is a fucking tourist, and every other traveller with a camera is consciously aware of avoiding this dubious distinction. Some believe you capture souls within a picture. If that is the case, then tourists are pornographers and travellers are prophets. So "Touristman", next time you get on your soap-box telling people where to go, consider that you don't have to suck on everything that gets put in your mouth! The world and society are continuously changing and evolving. I think the traveller will be the one that will be able to tell it like it really is. Duey: Have a great ride in Oz!

Hey fella, I guess maybe I did come off a bit arrogant when referring to other back packers. I guess I just met a few too many in Phenom Penn who said and did the wrong things at the wrong time! Blimey... How 'right on' are you!! - From: Self loathing in the backpacker ghetto
I really dislike your high & mighty views of other holidays makers. Oh, woops, sooooory maaan, you're not a 'holiday maker' are you, you're a "traveller". Right. A traveller with a digital camera, with wealth beyond half the worlds dreams. Just cheer up then will you - be thankful for your fellow holiday makers wealth. Be happy for all those fortunate enough to be able to afford to travel to places such as Siem Reap & Angkor. Yep those hulks pointing cameras every which way. Should one of those poor tortured Cambodians ever get the chance to travel to the USA or the UK, they too would be in awe, they to would want to capture the images of NYC or London. Get a grip fella. Either stay away from Cambodia & the like, or stop being so very very bigotted towards other human beings. Don't just try to cover such horrible bigotted views by including the odd "I'm one of those people" in an arrogant self inclusive be-littling way. It stinks. If you don't like the way the world is (& that includes Western & Japanese holiday makers) PLEASE get a job in an office and stay there. Ah hem... Thankyou.

I read your last 3 new journals! your trip is becoming well interesting and funny (apart from the moment u've been beaten by a strong guy... but i'm really glad to see that u r ok now) I should have told u about the toilets in those kind of country lol and about diarrhea as well lol! the story u had in Singapour happened to me once (well... more than once) because of local foods... I was running everywhere looking for toilets with a bad stomachache!jumping everywhere and praying not to shit on my underwear while my mum was taking her time looking for money to pay the "landlord" of the toilet! In India, they don't have 10cents TP, but just a bucket full of water and a glass to poor and do what u have to do... So unconfortable when u r used to the "westernised" toilets... lol well... Good luck for the rest of your trip, I'm gonna come here more often to follow your stories which r so well related! thanks very much for your postcard that I think i will steal to bring it to France as I'm leaving soon now... wish u all the best and most of all good luck!!!! ... but I do remember the firework insanity that grips Britain every year. Last time I was doing a night orienteering race in the middle of a park in the post-industrial hell that is the East of Sheffield. Whilst we ran around evading startled cows the city was illuminated with continual flashes and explosions. We thought we were in Bagdhad. Enjoy Leeds, thanks for the kind comments, and make sure you keep telling us Brits how daft we really are.
