London in a whirlwind You have revealed more of London in one day than I have shown people in over 3 months of being here. Well done! Trust you to have a Prince Charles encounter on your first day in the city. If you want to meet the whole family, I'm told that his mum is heading to Guildford soon! Till we force our paths to cross, T xx
Good ol country England Well mate, Olney looks like a quaint little place - you will certainly get the real English experience there. It's all part of the adventure you're supposed to have. Like you say, it's easy to get into London whenever you need a bit of the busy city activity. Looking forward to coming up there and see it for myself, T xx

WOW!! I am amazed.......What a beautiful city..The architecture is out of this world! I will abosolutely join you in 2010! Once again, and absolute joy to read!!Glad to hear you are having a ball! I believe your mum and Dad are back home safely...Well done!! Enjoy your next adventure and I look forward to hearing about it....xx
Hmm your miss guided idiot!!!! Dear Pilot.
1) How dare you call me a Racist. I never ONCE in my blog, or any of my blogs, was racist to ANYONE!
2) Yes, we went to Revolution Avenue. We only had half a day there. Our original plan was to spend the night and perhaps travel further south. Time restricted this plan so a half day trip was all we could manage. For the record we did manage to get to a shopping centre in the area, not much I know but something.. There were many things I wanted to see in Tijuana but never got a chance. If I go back I WILL spend more time.
3) Sorry but my comment is true. Revolution Avenue is a smoggy, stinky, culture clash of a rats nest. I was not really referring to Tijuana as a whole because I didn't see it. This is a blog based on my experiences!! not a documentary going into huge depth about a city.
So next time read properly and understand before you lash out. Do me a favour, if you choose to call me something have a decent reason to, and send me a damn email and don't be so gutless hiding behind an anonymous comment.
The Malls Balls Hi, I'm from Adelaide but now live in Sydney. My ten year old daughter brought up the large silver balls sculpture in Rundle Mall in conversation tonight and I told her that they are called the "Malls Balls". She blushed and refused to believe me so I Googled it, and god bless you, I wasn't let down. I'm vindicated! and now a little home sick. Glad you enjoyed my home town. Like anywhere, It ROCKS when you know where to go. Cheers.
Comments Comments Hey Cam
Looks like your having a great time.
the fact people had to make comments means many people are reading keep the opinions coming controversy sells lol (Hi Bev u have been bated)

Camels ... ... And how much harder to pull off the "majestic" thing, when subjected to those fluffy baubles around one's head. (Anne with whip in hand?!!? - to be used on Camel or Garry?) Luv Yr AdFam xx
Once-in-a-lifetime sights Well, there certainly are some views you will treasure forever, despite the crappy time you have had around it. Just keep telling yourself its all part of the adventure bud. Oh, and it's official, I am not writing blogs when we travel together cos your writing is sooo much more interesting than mine! Peace bud, T xx PS- keep writing your own opinions mate, it's you're right to do so!
Cab drivers worse than Sydney ?? WOW Cambo, what a shocker few days urv had..... but I'm sure u'll look back and say, it was an adventure. WHAT THE HELL DID U DO TO THE SPHYINX's NOSE.
As usual ur blogs are a great read, and I don't know what negative comments u recived on your last blog, but it just shows u some people can't handle varied opinions hey..... Peace will prevail when man can accept anothers opinion without judgment.
I am glad to see you are still wearing long clothes in hot enviroments :>
Keep up the great traveling and u still suk for getting countries up on me !!!. Enjoy mate.
cairo Cam. Keep them comin'. We won't have to travel now we have seen your photography. Loved the black bastard (ie Garry of Arabia. Is he practicing his bunker shots?
The Worst Happenings make the Best Memories I'm sure you will agree with this, but what a bizarre intro to a country - make a hood ornament out of a local. No wonder your Mother is coming to get you!!!
interesting I guess if you had a local friend you would have had a much easier and more pleasent time.
and I hope you know by now that no one pays by the meter, the meter rate was fixed some time in the 70s
al hussein mosque supposedly has a piece of Al Hussein's body buried in it (that's what you saw people touching while praying).
while Egypt is a mostly Suni muslim country for most of it's islamic history it was Shiia muslim, many traditions and ceremonies (frowned upon by suni scholars) are still present specially among the lower economical classes. the mix of beliefs and cultures is even more intricate and more interesting than you could possibly imagine
the protest I can guess if you tell us the date.
Cairo in one sense means the victorious city but in another sense it also means the tyrannical city. and for that alone we love it.
HEY!!! Hi Camo,
Glad to hear you are safe and well. I am sorry to hear about all the hardships you are having, but it definately adds to the great Blogs I am reading. What not to do when entering a country, travelling by train, crossing the road - all those things we take for granted. I hope you have a great time with your folks.
Take care and talk to you soon!!
J
cairo Camo. Your thoughts on Cairo come as no surprise even though I have not had first hand experience. I will be interested in your parents' impressions
The Many Talents of Cam - Again You could become a very successful travel agent, Cam. On the one hand you've started us Aussies thinking about Oman as a tourist destination. Meanwhile there's a certain Oman taxi driver planning his trip to Australia to get his free wife without even paying extra for those who make things!! LOL Wishing you cheap rooms and taxis .....
Hello Nomad What a great literary start for all of us back home! Keep us all posted. And please keep those photo's on file - they are great and I would like to use some of them for my art someday. Speak soon xoxox
After spending two years in Europe, I've shifted my attention to South America.
I'm currently living in Rio de Janeiro and will be here indefinitely teaching English.
Hopefully I'll be able to get around to see some of the continent.... full info
