Hi my boy Hi Matt, thanks for writing. I have had quite a bit of trouble getting on to a computer due to various reasons but have finally found one here in Bordeaux. I thought you might be interested in Napoleon and the beaches, but did you also see the photo I dedicated to you? I'm afraid we probably haven't seen the last of the churches or pretty houses so you ,ay have to sit through a few more of those photos. My legs are holding up ok actually, thanks to my good red shoes but after eight hours on the go something has to give. I have enjoyed the exercise which is hopefully also keeping some of the fat at bay as the food here is deadly. you can't resist the pastries. Well I can't anyway. We should be able to get the footy results on the net - we will be in Barcelona by then on our last leg of the European part of the trip. After that we are off to the UK for the final two weeks or so of this wonderful journey. I'm glad Sammy hasn't forgotten me. There are so many dogs over here and people take then everywhere and I mean everywhere. They are allowed on the trains and into public buildings and restaurants. Some fools even took their dogs to Mont St Michel where there is no where for them to crap but on the narrow paths. The place is built on a rock for heavens sake! Must go mate. I did try ringing home a bit ealier but with no luck. Say hi to the boys for me. Go Cats. Love Mum xxx
I have no control over the formatting of the page, sorry. I blog and the program does the rest including placing the photos. If I try and put in paragraphs, it looks even worse because the photos are spaced out strangely (ps get your writes right!).
Sue, love how much you right and its great that you can express your feelings in such a forum...
but...
for the love of god please use some paragraphs, its like trying to read the rosetta stone...
But yeah, keep up the writing!
hello finally we get to see the good stuff, less about churches and pritty houses and more about bonaparte and the normandy beaches! look forward to seeing those photos mum. france looks really nice from the photos. in regards to your sore feet from walking all day, they are only sore because you have been parked in front of a desk for 8 or so years mum, consider it the best exercise routine you will ever have! the dog still thinks that it is you when we enter from the garrage! sadly he will be stupid enough to think that until you return! happy easter over there. p.s cats v hawks on monday at the G, im going . i hope we belt the suitcase out of them! bye bye.
Hi Sue Your descriptions and pictures of the places you visit are stunning as usaul I would love to see Normandy. My dad was a US soldier stationed in England at the time. You are absoulutely right about Americans being loud and obnoxious except for me and Barack Obana we are the quiet ones. David
Yeh, it worked! Hi Aunty, whatever Stef showed you to do keep doing it cause I got this message. I'm really glad you are taking the trip with me cause that's how I felt when Ron's son wrote his. You and mum would have loved that guesthouse in Bayeux with it's antiques and everything laid out beautifully. We have now left Dinan which was a gorgeous town and arrived in Bordeaux tonight. I'll do my best to get the Dinan blog up asap but you can't always be guaranteed of Internet access. Fingers crossed cause I want everyone to see how pretty Dinan is. have fun with Stef. Happy Easter, love S xxx
Aunty Hi marmie. I did get that message and one a few weeks ago so if sent more then something wasn't done right. I will respond to her now and let her know. We are in Bordeaux now after a change in plans - not going to Avignon now cause we decided to choose somewhere more in line with Barcelona which is our next stop. Turned out to be long day getting here - one bus and three trains, the second of which was late due to a 'person accident', which then meant we missed train number three and had to wait another two hours. We did get upgraded to first class and were told by a helpful passenger that we can ask for a refund according to their rules. We eventually arrived at 9.00pm having left Dinan at 10.00 this morning so it's been a long day. I hope to find an internet cafe, just have Ron's phone which I can use in this hotel to send messages, but it's fiddly. Thanks for letting me know about my boy. I think about him a lot and just wish his luck would change a bit. I hope to get the Dinan blog up soon. I didn't have great access there and one place I did get onto wouldn't allow photo downloads, hence the delay. I'm doing my best though. The Dinan photos should be worth waiting for - it was such a beautiful place and so old. Bye for now. Love S xxx
I'm impressed you can count that far Ash! Father will be pleased! Hope you enjoyed the 1399 bonus words. Take care, hope all is well with you guys. Step-ma ma

Bayeux Hi Sue and Ron, have tried to send you a message several times. I have Stef here with us for Easter, so she is helping me now. Have absolutely enjoyed following your travels and imagining that I am there too. The photos are just stunning. Keep on enjoying. Lots of love from all in Mildura.
Hi Mum, no we didn't climb the Eiffel Tower because we had just come from climbing the Arc de Triomphe which gave us a magnificent panoramic view of the city too, plus the queue at the Tower was longer than we were prepared to stand in. Good news on the footy front - for us anyway. Need to keep moving so will keep this brief and get on with the blog. Enjoy Echuca. Love S and R xxx
Hot chocolate Hi Sharon, funny you should ask about the hot chocolate. Yes I did have it at Anja and Henk's where we stayed, but they couldn't believe it when I asked for milk in mine. I got a worse reaction when we had morning tea on the cruise ship - the waitress was not at all subtle with her facial expression and thought I was nuts. The same went for tea - they never heard of white tea apparently. Fortunately here in France I am not so weird! Love from Sue and Ron
update from mum Oh that place was just so great and you are bringing it back in large lumps. You did not say whether you climbed any part of the Eiffel Tour! Now how about that for a view. What you will be saying by now might be something your big brother said about seeing Churches on his trip -ABC- They are amazing and how did the little blokes get those huge lumps of marble in place? Just returned from Balwyn after minding the kiddies while Dad and mum had a weekend away for their 1st Anniversary. We are going up to Echuca for Easter, staying in Sandras Van. Saints beat Syd, Coll .Beat Bullies, Geelong beat Essendon talked to Matt, he said all was well with them. I will ring tonight. Continue to have the time of your lives. Now Risotto this week???Love Mumx
Hey! That was 18 Parisien minutes Ashley! You weren't supposed to know they run a very efficient transport system - that doesn't make for much of a story. We loved Paris and had a lovely time. It's just a shame that all our hours of walking is being undone by our love of the French boulangeries. Anyway, you take care. Love from S
Wow! Holy moly sue!
Paris really sounds horrible with those terrible monuments to visit, and climb. And who'd have thought you have to wait so long for 9 trains? 18 minutes!!! That's outrageous! You know someone ought to write a strongly worded letter to the Parisian Transport authorities!
Don't worry sue, if you're starting to get a bit tired of this traveling and holidaying business you're more than welcome to come home!
Sarcasm aside its good to read about all your adventures!
Keep up the blogging madness!
Aunty shirl Sue, Aunty wishes me to tell you how much she is enjoying The Blogs, she went to some places that you did in2004, unfortunately the message she sentdid not go.
Hi again Mum - it was nice to hear your voice today as well. You can read the blog to find out what we have been up to day in gay Par-is! Love you S xxx
Hi my boy - glad to hear at least one of my sons is reading about what we are doing! I hope you are making your way through the freezer as you read the blogs - there is so much food in there so I hope you are all making the most of it. We visited the Military Museum today, which you would have been interested in. The body of Napoleon is there in a very elaborate tomb. I have taken a photo which I will show you. Thanks for the update on the home and family. I don't like our chances of keeping GA - sounds like he can set up his future very nicely up north, so we will just have to make the most of him this year and wish him well. Footy life is short. Keep well Matt. Say hi to the boys and Linda. Love you all - Mum xxx
We are 49 years of age and finally going on our trip of a lifetime. We both leave at home our three sons - each! We can't wait to explore the world together.... full info
