Im beginning to think im becoming an insomniac. despite only getting two houts sleep two nights ago, i only manage two hours again despite being knackered- hopefully its a phase that will pass very soon! Today we were up at 10ish and decided to explore Ayuthaya, we hired a bike each for the day, for 45p! We covered pretty much the whole city at a leisurely pace. We visited most of the ruins that were scattered around the city-it seems Ayuthaya has seen a few wars in its time, it did used to be the capital city after all. We also [View Full Entry]

Hey hey, Woke up this morning after only 2 hours sleep, and it wasn't through wild nights out or anything i just couldnt sleep for some reason. Last night we explored a bit off Kho Sahn Road for some food but gave that up when the signs for the food shops stopped giving english translations and the streets got a litle darker! In the end settled for a Steak and Banana Split Not really making an effort to try new things i know, but i was starving after the walking! This morning we decided to say Bye to Bangkok and head [View Full Entry]

Woke up today at 1pm after a late night! Managed to drag ourselves out of bed and make the day productive though. Got a tuk tuk ride to the Grand Palace, we weren't allowed inside the Palace building itself but we could tour the grounds and visit the museum, theres about a 2000metre wall around the grounds- so there was plenty to see! Within the Palace grounds was the Emerald Temple, you had to take your shoes off before entering and weren't allowed to point your feet towards the Shrine of the "Emerald Buddha" as this is seen as disrespectful. After [View Full Entry]

Hey folks, The first thing we done today was get a better hostel sorted for the next couple of nights because i reckon it was only because of mega jet lag that I managed to sleep in the place we srtopped in the first night! After a quick bite to eat (Had French Toast/Eggy bread-Was well good!) We were persuaded to get a ride on a tuk tuk around the city. A tuk tuk is a small motorised vehicle with room to sit three people in the back, they are basically go karts with something nailed on the back for people [View Full Entry]

Hey people, arrived at Bangkok today after a 10 hour flight- was absolutely knackered! Met Will and Jonny at Heathrow and had about a 6 hour wait their till we flew. Quantas airlines (Yes Broomo, we FLEW to Thailand) were quality though, you get as much free food and drink as you like aswell as your own TV and a remote controller which converts into a game pad! They didn't have Pro Evo Soccer, but beggars can't be choosers. Arriving in Bangkok at 4 in the afternoon with about 2 hours sleep in the last 24 hours aswell as a 7 [View Full Entry]

Hey hey people, just 5 days till the off now, the reality of all this is hitting me now. I'm glad i finished work last week cos there is so much random boring stuff that needs organising-bank stuff, tax stuff, loan stuff.... the list goes on! On the plus side i've had a chance to get back into the swing of daytime television, ah to be a student again... The Jeremy Kyle Show is absolutely shocking, there's not a day that goes by that the itv people must not kick themselves that Tricia defected to Channel5 and they were left with [View Full Entry]
