Sounds like you are having a blast!!!
Sharon Catching up on your blog entries - didn't think you were going to be back in range until today. We too enjoyed the Beagle Channel tour and thought the same that it was pretty silly to get off the ship and head to a Catamaran, but it was neat to see the penguins up so close. Not as nice for the seals (boy do they stink!) Well keep having fun and WIN at Bingo!

RT Tickets
Sharon, I just got your message about getting the tickets for Canada. (Feb. 9) No one was there so will have to try and reach someone tomorrow or Monday morning. I take it you want 1 ticket for each night. I really don't think there are that many buying, it is so early to be thinking about Dec. (smile) Expect me.. I will do my best. Janet (Randy Travis Fan)

I thought you might miss it based on your weather, but you will still have a fantastic trip thru Antarctica. Can't wait until you return to Argentina and see your next blog entry. Take care. love, Erin and Dennis

Hi Sharon, I'm still trying to get the pictures. Is anyone else having a problem. I think I probably would be sick by now if I was with you on the ship, the rocking would get me. (smile) Janet (Randy Travis Fan)

They said we also have to make fresh water there too overnight. He also said they will send maps to our cabins since he used to get so many requests for them I guess they just make copies now
4th February 2008

Why they leave the immediate area
The real reason they pull away from the continent at night is to discharge the septic tanks beyond the 12 mile limit. We did have Capt Toomey, he was great, try to attend all his briefings. At the end of antiartic part of cruise he drew a map of the trip but we had to go to the front office to get a copy.

Access from Ship
Dennis - HAL has several plans. I bought the 250 mins for $100 and since I did it the first day I got an extra 20 mins. I think it's $50 for 100 mins or $.75/min if you don't buy a plan. I've already used about 100 mins so may need a few more but should be close to what I bought.

How Does it work?
So how do you access internet for email etc., with HAL? Do they have a flat fee? Erin and I hope to set up a blog for our trip, this is great!

Eating a penguin????
Okay, I know this isn't from this day's blog entry but just got caught up with them all. Sorry Sharon but we just sent Ethan back to Mom and Dad so it is a little (okay a lot) calmer around here. What did you mean about eating the last piece of penguin? I have known you to do some strange things, but eating a penguin could be the strangest comment. Have a great trip and we will compare photos after our cruise. love you, ET
