Ushuaia Dock
We were docked near the Dawn and quite a few Expedition Ships Sun 2/10/08 Well whoever said that Sea Days are lazy or restful hasn’t been on this cruise! Yesterday continued our busy schedule as we headed out of Antarctica into the Drake Passage and onto Cape Horn. We started the day with a lecture on Ushuaia and Bingo and after a quick lunch it was time for a lecture on Punta Arenas and then Capt Pat’s talk on where we actually did go in Antarctica. He reviewed Plan A again and then said we actually did Plan H and had probably seen more things not on plan A than were on Plan A. It will be interesting to compare the map when I get my copy. Because of cruising the Cape our shows were at 4:30 and 6:45 so my tablemates and I decided to go to the 4:30 one (we were already in the lounge from the lectures anyway). Scenic cruising was to start at 7:30 so we decided to skip the Dining Room and met in the Lido at 6:15. Well that was a zoo. Obviously everyone had the same idea and they didn’t seem quite prepared. One side was setup for Crew only but they finally told us to
Ushuaia Dock
Some of the Expedition Ships we'd seen in Antarctica were ending their trips and loading new passengers here go to that side. However, it didn’t have any signs as to what they had and only had 2 guys working (one cooking the other serving). But we managed to eat enough anyway then headed up to the Crows Nest where a view of Cape Horn was already visible. Not that you would have known it by the waves. It was as smooth as glass with no waves of anytype. Now that might have been a disappointment but we had our waves on the way down from Stanley (the Electrician told us some had been over 40 feet and there was quite a bit of damage around the ship). The Norwegian Dawn was there at the same time so we crossed back and forth between the Atlantic and Pacific a few times (with horns blowing each time). After enjoying the scenery for a while it was off to bed for an early morning today.
There were over 600 people with tours leaving between 7 and 7:15 this morning so it was very hectic and quite a bit of a walk to the catamaran for our Penguins and Beagle Channel tour. Now it was funny we just got on land
Sea Lions
The Penguins and Beagle Channel Tour stopped by an island with Sea Lions and Commerants for the first time in 9 days and then proceeded to walk directly to another boat for our tour. So between going to and from the ship we probably spent 30 mins on land. We were back just in time to board so no time for any shopping. The tour was very nice and relaxing as we cruised the channel for 5-6 hrs. We saw an island with seals and another with penguins right up close. Then it was up to the Lido for lunch (hadn’t had time for breakfast) and to listen to the sail away commentary. So I decided to get this updated before mass at 4 and scenic glacier cruising starting at 4:30. That’s followed by a show at 6:30 (though we plan to walk out on the 2nd half since it’s another one with the one guy we didn’t like) and dinner at 8. Tomorrow I have a tour that leaves at 6 a.m. and doesn’t get back till late so I probably won’t post again until Tue.
Talk to you soon!

Sounds like you are having a blast!!!
Sharon Catching up on your blog entries - didn't think you were going to be back in range until today. We too enjoyed the Beagle Channel tour and thought the same that it was pretty silly to get off the ship and head to a Catamaran, but it was neat to see the penguins up so close. Not as nice for the seals (boy do they stink!) Well keep having fun and WIN at Bingo!
