Icebergs Ahead

Well we've still got access this morning so will post another short note. We're just 5 hours out from Elephant Island and should be seeing our first icebergs in a couple of hours. Have seen some dolphins this morning from the Lido and they've just seen a whale to the other end of the Explorers Lounge where I'm sitting. The Explorations Cafe is totally full and I couldn't find a chair there.

The seas are much calmer today and almost everyone is out and about. We just had a lecture on Globalization and have another Antarctica briefing after lunch. No luck at Bingo again today.

Last night I had dinner in the Pinacle with several people from the cc board and it was very nice. There was only 1 other group in there (some people canceled because fo the heavy seas). Nothing was flying at that point but it was still a bit rocky. Most of the shops are open again today and they've got almost everything cleaned up. I guess all the liquor bottless in the Ocean lounge broke yesterday morning too.

Tonight we're going to cruise Elephant Island from 6-9 so they've canceled formal night and combined the shows into a single one at 10. Hopefully we see enough before I have to head to dinner at 8 since it will be mobbed in the Lido at 9.

That's about it for now.

Janet - I can't see anything wrong with the photo link but if anyone else got it working can they please let her know? I'll post some Antarctic pictures when we get back in internet access this weekend.
