Hello everyone My trip is quickly coming to an end so I this will be my last report for 2008. God willing next year, it will come to you from India or Vietnam/ Cambodia. Last we talked, I had just arrived in dreary Copacabana as it was overcast. I did find an amazing 3 bedroom apartment from www.rioapartmentrentals.com. I met the owner at his restaurant/ bar and he hooked me up with a super pimped out apartment for $80 US which is a steal. After getting settled down for the week, I spent most of the first week sleeping as I have much sleep to make up for. My trip to Peru (if you want to see my blogs, just click on RODDDDMANN & it should list my two blogs from 2007) was very physically and ... read more

Greeting friends, family & co-workers I am finally checking in after 1 week in Argentina & Brazil. This past week has been very eventful. Lets start at the beginning. It is a small hostel in Palermo right next to all the most fantastic rows of restaurants and night life. The room was fine but overall, the hostel was loud so sleep was hard to come by. The first day, I mostly napped as the sleep during the flight was ... read more

Just as quick as it came, it is almost over The 23 days have flown by. Last we spoke, I was in Cuzco on my way to Iquitos and the Amazon After getting into Iquitos, I was mauled by about 10 different taxi drivers wanting to take me into town. Luckily they were harmless and I chose the one who spoke English. Some quick info on Iquitos - largest city in the world without a road or train into it. This means the only way there is by boat or plane - over 400,000 people - over 80,000 motor taxis. For those of you who have been to Thailand, they look a lot like a TUK TUK except its a motor cycle at the front The amazon surrounds Iquitos so it is extremely humid and ... read more

Hi everyone Its Rodney writing to you from Cusco in Peru. For my crazy friends, please leave clean comments. I have a few people from work on this list and want to have a job when I get back but you better write back I figured a travel blog is a lot easier than writing individual emails so I hope you dig this. I cannot figure out how to post more pictures as each picture that I post takes 15 minutes to load. When I get back to LA, I will send you a link to my KODAK GALLERY so you can see all my pictures rather than a few I have been planning my trip to Peru for over 6 months now. The trip started off on a strange note. I was sitting at ... read more
