I think it is so wonderful of Marty and Susan to meet you in London. Seeing familiar faces can really refresh the spirit. And what are the odds of running into old friends randomly on your visit? Quite high obviously. Have fun. Don\'t waste your time on anymore gallaries. Momma used to say, \"everything ain\'t for everybody.\" Then we would leave the toy store empty handed. Say hi to Harry for me.
Itchy! Dude, your pictures of bugs are making me itchy! But seriously, there are soem beauties in the bunch. Please send me links to your blog whenever you feel so inclined!
Climb Bobby Climb Even Julie sang Climb Every Mountain. Not sure if she meant to do it all in one day. You may not have loved yourself for doing it, but I do. Yeahhhh Bobbyyyyyy
I am in a world of bugs myself!! Hey Bob, what a parallel. Here is the world of PR my largest client is a pest control company Massey Services. They also have photos of bugs on their website and from time to time challenge visitors to identify the bug. Looks like you would need their services in a big way. Your roaches may be German cockroaches, large suckers who can scare the bejesus out of you. Keep taking the photos, and get some mosquito repellant for the upcoming season. If the mosquitoes in Africa are anything like the mosquitoes in Belize they will come at you in swarms to bite and no amount of netting and wind from ceiling fans will divert them from sucking your blood. Happy New Year!
Thank you Bob... just introduced to your blog... came up on my e-mail. So thank you. Only had a minute before we are off and running on our tame (compared to you) day of school and work. So we looked at the bug pictures. But we plan on catching up reading about your trip... and learning about Africa from your point of view. How cool is that. Maybe Annie can share with her class.
Love you and wish you all the adventure you deserve. Stay well and thank you...
Bolbo-ceratidae Lawlorus Better known to the CUSO gang as the "Bobbo"-ceratidae Lawlorus.
Those are quite the bugs to be found in Tanzania but who is the real pest?

Purple Flowers Those purple and pink flowers that look like crepe paper are called Bougainville pronounced boo gan villa. Stunning shots, keep em coming.
All caught up. Well Bob, I'm all caught up and have read every story from the beginning. What a fabulous experience you are living. I can't believe I've been missing the installments so long but I will anxiously await your next one. Congratulations on everything you are doing and have a wonderful 2012.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! Bob I am loving the Blog, as always. I understand you hitting the wall at the six month mark. Totally understandable. But you are of good strong stock and you will get over the hump. The photos are more amazing with each Blog entry. Missing you. Love Deb
I have to admit...I was not quite with you when you were taking about toilets that didn't flush...but I could see myself with you in the vineyards in cape town! I am glad to see you are getting the most out of your new life!
Wau to tease the next blog! You can take the boy out of promos, but you can never take the promos out of the boy!
We all miss you, but are glad you are having such amazing experiences!
Jeff
Sweat I know your actually complaining of the heat.... But I would trade you any day! Although they are predicting a warmer than usual winter this year for Toronto, I'm sure there is still lots of snow and slush in our future! So enjoy the dew!
I left Canada on July 1st, 2011 and traveled to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I am happy to say that this adventure is beyond my expectations.
First and foremost, my work with Femina (www.feminahip.or.tz) is great. Femina is a multimedia platform and civil society organization. It provides information and encourages open dialogue with Tanzanian youth, families and communities on important topics like sexual and reproductive health, economic empowerment and citizen engagement. Their approach provides voice to youth and gets them engaged in topics related to improving their lives.
