OK, don't say I didn't warn you...! So, the last three days we have been touring Fraser Island, which is the world's largest sand island, just off the East Coast of Oz, near Hervey Bay. We chose the 'Cooldingo' ranger-guided tour, so there were 28 of us in a brutal 14 tonne 4WD bus. All the tracks are seriously bumpy which made us all feel suitably adventurous, jostling through the trees. Our first stop was Basin Lake, a freshwater lake located on a sand dune.
