Xi'an Hi Lauren, thanks for your message hope you are enjoying China. We found it hard to find anywhere to drink in this city but found some good restaurants near the drum tower. Make sure when you go to the warriers you see it 1 last as it is the best one. Where else are you going so I can give you some tips?
We got on fine only knowing the words in Mandarin for hello, thank you, beer and rice!!!! We are now in Moscow and know less words in Russian!

We are leaving on January 27th with our rucksacks and travelling for 6 months, returning on 11th July. Below is our itinerary and we hope to update an Internet Travel Blog and include the web address below if you want to follow us around the world.
27th January - Fly to Lima - Peru
We will spend a couple of weeks in Peru staying at a desert retreat and getting a train up Machu Picchu to following the Inca Trail. We will then travel to the salt flats of Bolivia and Lake Tititaca. We will travel through Argentina to eventually end up in Santiago (Chile).
