Escape from Snow Mountain, The Meltdown! Notes from the lazy author: 1) Okay--- I have neglected my duties and confused many people in the interim. People had a hard time reading the blog and believing I was not actually still in the cities I was writing about, even when I was face to face with them. It was kind of like realizing that all television shows were not LIVE and that the people did not live in the TV. It is the 21st century folks! 2) I am glad I decided to start this before taking any courses, because I [View Full Entry]

Crested Butte --- the Land of Many Surprises "The Bourne Legacy" is still my source of entertainment. I am not sure who gets their ass kicked more. Jack Bauer of 24 gets a smack down once an hour for 24 hours. Jason Bourne/ David Webb gets a near death smack down everyday. I am not sold on being any type of agent for our government. I did have several run ins with some government agents along this leg of the trip. They all seemed quite nice. I might change my attitude towards power hungry/abuser cops. My stiry does have some [View Full Entry]

So Many Options, So Little Time After a quiet evening, I wake up to a slight drizzle. I look outside and see several people running by with numbers on the front of their shirts. I realize I could be running in a 5K. I am motivated to get to a gym. I look at my invites for the day and realize that the Baby Shower is 2 hours earlier than I thought. I attempt to drive around all of the activities and events in downtown to get a gym, I give up and head back to the Monaco to get [View Full Entry]

Phase 3--Who Came Up With This Roadtrip Idea? I wake up early in Grand Junction and the weather is still as foul as my mood, since the Lakers lost the first game of the series. The grey clouds allow me sleep in until 8ish. I had to get downstairs for my free breakfast at the lovely Hampton Inn. I t was a brand new hotel with incredibly comfortable beds. The free breakfast was a large buffet. I would consider staying in one of these again. Since I am making reservations while I am on my way there, doing research of [View Full Entry]

Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and Grand Junction A few notes: 1) I just re-read my last entry, I apologize for the grammatical and spelling errors. I am surprised that someone did not correct them. ( you know who you are) I am tempted to buy that "eats trees and leaves" Hopefully the writing course I take this summer will alleviate this issue or I will I will just earn an "F" Please, also take in account that is is partly due to my poor typing skills. 2) This day was excruciatingly long which caused the back up in my [View Full Entry]

First stop---Las Vegas, Terribles, Casino, Rollercoaster Took off from Santa Monica at 6:30 am to beat any traffic on my way. This strategy worked out perfectly. As I was winding down the 15 avoiding all speedtraps, I decided that I wanted to try out that rollercoaster at the edge of Vegas. Erin M. Atwater promised me it was the craziest rollercoaster ever. It was about 10 am and my Prius told me that I was doing quite well with my gas consumption. (Since I am doing this roadtrip alone, I will probably have to name my Prius soon, because it [View Full Entry]
