Hi Everyone, We are still here although looking back the last three weeks has flown by. We are continuing to have an amazing time in Australia. After some heckling from the cheap seats I now know that you only really want me for my photos. Seriously though Nat has been doing an awesome job at keeping you all updated with her emails so I don't need to redo her sterling work. It is our last day in Oz as I draft this and we have had such a fantastic time, this country really does have to be seen to be believed, we feel truely blessed because we have honestly loved everyday - even the overnights on the greyhound. A bit of brekkie and a ferry ride to Manly is all that we will muster on our ... read more

Our flight time from Singapore was 8:40AM, which meant a prompt hotel checkout at 6:00AM allowing us to take the 40 minute MRT (Singapore subway) to Chengi airport. However, we both totally slept through the alarm and woke up at the time we should have been checking in! Frantically we jumped out of bed threw on our clothes, grabbed our bags and bolted for the door. What followed was a 15 minute run through the quiet streets of Singapore looking for a taxi, although it shouldn't have been funny Nat found herself laughing at me saying I resembled a turtle with a huge shell (backpack). Luckily we made it to the airport in time and as you can imagine a Singapore check in is without any hitches. We arranged our guest house before arriving which saved ... read more

Hello Everyone, I must start this entry with a massive apology for the lack of updates in recent weeks. SORRY! In my defence there has been a serious drought of decent Internet access on some of the paradise islands we have visited ;) The only real opportunity was Kuala Lumpur or KL, but as all of you should now be aware this is where Nat and I got engaged - so no apology here I was too busy being loved up with my beautiful new fiancee. It only seems like last week when in Chiang Mai I was up to date with this blogging thing and generally feeling rather smug. However, soon after this Nat feel ill, as you also should already know. Following a diagnosis in Bangkok it was onto Koh Tao for some rest ... read more

Ok Ok I have always been a wee bit out of date with this blogging thing, intially due to the problems with the site at the start and the lack of decent machines en route. So as Nat is chilling out in our hostel reading a book, we have walked our socks off here is Chiang Mai, I thought that it was a good time to catch up, so here goes. The bus journey... So we left Vietnam aboard a bus bound for the Laos capital, to say this journey was a nightmare would be a severe understatement. We set out at 7 p.m, as you may all be aware of from Nats email we were packed in with bags of rice rolls of material and other containers which we had no idea what was contained ... read more

So after chilling in Hue and Hoi An, we headed north to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated city, for me anyway, in Vietnam, Hanoi lived up to my expectations, another bustling metropolis but with a definite sense of refinement. It is more developed and Western than the other cities we visited in Vietnam, Vince you would have fitted right in because the even have a Burberry outlet, Watford give us a wave! Private joke. Also, still having issues with PCs over here cannot upload any photos, hopefully soon. We spent most of our time strolling around soaking up the atmosphere of the city. We stayed in the Old Quarter were pretty much all of the street names are taken from what goods are sold there. As France figures so highly in ... read more

Howdy, As I am writing this in the past tense you are well aware that we both arrived safe and sound in Hoi An after our four day motorbike jount through the mountains. We said goodbye to our drivers and ventured off into the night to explore Hoi An. Also, I have been having a problem uploading photos, I will setup another gallery for you all to skive off work and check out. One of the most beautiful villages that we have come across. It has so many small winding streets packed with historical buildings. With a river running right through the centre it is truely picturesque. For the first time on our trip we came across a place that we would have been very happy to hang around for an extra fews days. When we ... read more

Hi All, Another lot of free Internet time at our hotel in Hue so I thought, whilst Nat is frying, I would update you with a new post. We left Nha Trang aboard two Honda Federal motorbikes with our drivers Bang and Chu heading into the mountaineous region of the Central Highlands. This trip was brilliant, both of us pushed our envelopes out as it was a fair jump from the 20 minute honda trip we made in the Mekong, this was a four day three night trip on motorbikes, over the next four days we would cover somewhere in the region of 930KM so we were pretty nervous at the beginning, however the scenary in this part of Vietnam is absolutely beautiful and it must be seen to be believed, it was not all sunshine ... read more

After spending three glorious days in Mui Ne, we headed on up the coast on a four hour bus ride which actually turned into six, but we didn't mind. However the bus trip this time was a new expereience we drove for about 20 mins and then stopped for lunch (40 mins) and then drove for 20 minutes more and then stopped for a local who had missed the bus (another 40 minutes) it was funny seeing this lady arrive with her shopping on the back of a honda and then just getting on without a wince or apology or anything. So we arrived in Nha Trang later than expected and we walked about for 20 minutes or so before hitting the main drag and locating a hotel. We immediately got a good vibe from this ... read more
