A montana gal. I'm ready to travel, see some new faces, leave the comfort zone knowing it will catch me if I fall, attempt a new language, hike until my legs ache and see the true shapes of things, eat different foods and most of all, see different animals and plants that also call this blue planet "home".

I was talking to my 84 year young neighbor the other day. She is recovering slowly, but surely, from heart surgery. Her mind is sharp, her wit is keen and she's always offering great, and often humbling, advice. In this conversation she told me to "Travel while your body can, because when you get older your body no longer follows your mind. Don't leave anything undone, unseen and most of all...have fun!". Now that's advice to live by Margo! Thanks!

cuzco & the sacred valley

no tears were shed to leave lima. though miraflores was nice, i was anxious to get to the mountains and finally see the peru i have been thinking of for so long. we scored a cute hostelria off of a back alleyway. beautiful courtyard, soft pillows, yummy breakfast. we leave for the inca trail on the 26th and have decided to call this bonita little nook home until then. the town itself is more than i thought it was going to be. so many churches here, small narrow streets and even skinner sidewalks. i´m discovering when a car honks (which they [View Full Entry]

The Countdown Begins!
